So, given that it could have happened, can anyone tell me who it was (or they were)? Nevermind -- found the list myself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_anthem_performers_at_the_Super_Bowl RE: The Seattle SeaTusks & DenNUG Broncos! - Tusk - 01-23-2014 Sorry Barb (NUG), but seems the Seahawks have the Reinhart seal of approval (@ least Harry) ![]() Quote:Tusk, RE: The Seattle SeaTusks & DenNUG Broncos! - My Alter Ego - 01-23-2014 (01-23-2014, 04:19 PM)Tusk Wrote: Sorry Barb (NUG), but seems the Seahawks have the Reinhart seal of approval (@ least Harry) That's nice! Has Harry given a reason why he's supportive of the Hawks? RE: The Seattle SeaTusks & DenNUG Broncos! - Himm2 - 01-23-2014 He mentioned to me that "he thinks Seattle deserves to win because they haven't won it all but he didn't say "They're In It To Win It!!! dawg!!" What an interesting choice! (In my mind, opera and football don't mix well.) I saw a clip of a press conference with Bruno Mars and Renee Fleming pre-Super Bowl. I'm not certain, but the otherwise unflappable Ms. Fleming might be a tad nervous about her SSB presentation. As she said in the press conference, she's used to having to use her voice, and only her voice to project, but in concert halls and opera houses that are acoustically perfect, so amplification isn't necessary. This is a major adjustment for her. From your perspectives, she may not do that. But I ask that you be kind and realize that huge adjustment that she's making. I think most of you know that my first love in music is classical, but I don't like opera, for a variety of reasons. However, I recognize and appreciate the work and training that goes into making a great operatic voice. Ms. Renee Fleming has an exquisite voice, and, seems to be a delightful human being. For those who read the book Bel Canto and may not know, Ms. Fleming was the individual that author Ann Patchett had in mind for one of the central characters. RE: The Seattle SeaTusks & DenNUG Broncos! - My Alter Ego - 02-02-2014 So, I'm following a chatline from the Seattle Times. And per that, Paul McCartney is there trey wingo @wingoz And Paul McCartney just walked in #winning. Is he there as an objective observer or following a particular team??? RE: The Seattle SeaTusks & DenNUG Broncos! - Tusk - 02-02-2014 So apparently Mark Cuban placed a prop bet that the first score will be a safety... #LuckiestManOnEarth He won $20 mil on a $20 bet.... |
