^^OK -- I know that Sirs Buzz and Tusk are joking in their suggestions for someone to perform the NA, but while the concept of a group (unless it was a nationally acclaimed choir) has a cognitive dissonant effect for me, I suppose that it's possible that a group has sung the National Anthem at the Super Bowl.

So, given that it could have happened, can anyone tell me who it was (or they were)?

Whether or not you like how she sings it, it will be sung (vocally) correctly, of that you can be sure.

I saw a clip of a press conference with Bruno Mars and Renee Fleming pre-Super Bowl. I'm not certain, but the otherwise unflappable Ms. Fleming might be a tad nervous about her SSB presentation.

As she said in the press conference, she's used to having to use her voice, and only her voice to project, but in concert halls and opera houses that are acoustically perfect, so amplification isn't necessary. This is a major adjustment for her.

From your perspectives, she may not do that. But I ask that you be kind and realize that huge adjustment that she's making.

I think most of you know that my first love in music is classical, but I don't like opera, for a variety of reasons. However, I recognize and appreciate the work and training that goes into making a great operatic voice.

Ms. Renee Fleming has an exquisite voice, and, seems to be a delightful human being. For those who read the book Bel Canto and may not know, Ms. Fleming was the individual that author Ann Patchett had in mind for one of the central characters.
