RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - Tusk - 10-20-2017 I personally enjoyed their interaction. I can't say Randy wasn't feigning ignorance about things (some interviewers use similar tactics as a way to lead an interview to illicit a response, depending on where his guest wants to take it), in his defense, he has seen thousands and thousands of 'talent' and he did give Haley credit for 'winning' because she made an impression among the thousands he saw while at Idol...... I'm younger than Randy and I can say I bet my memory is far worse than his... ![]() note: Looks like Haley is Randy's first guest to debut his podcast? Kind of inevitable and surprising it took this long....I'd think most couples in their situation would've jumped into that activity far earlier in their relationship ![]() RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - Himm2 - 10-20-2017 I just had a nice Facebook conversation with Haley's KVCR interviewer David Fleming: David Fleming shared his first post. New Member · 1 hr Haley’s recent interview on KVCR-FM is in the KVC-Arts archives at kvcrnews.org/arts. As pointed out, there were indeed a few items not touched on, but the publicist hired to arrange interviews kept me on a STRICT 30 minutes. I had questions about “F is for Family” AND the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, but skipped them due to time constraint. I didn’t know about the Playboy connection, and certainly would have sequed somehow with that had I known. The Patty Farmer interview (Playboy) was actually 2 years old when her book was new – just pulled back out due to Hefner’s recent death. KVC-Arts Join host David Fleming for a program dedicated to Arts and Entertainment in our region, as well as the people and places providing it. Interviews with KVCRNEWS.ORG Steve Klumpp Steve Klumpp Thanks David...I believe you are responding to some comments I made. Am I allowed to post this link?: http://kvcrnews.org/.../101817-haley-reinhart-patty... 10/18/17 - Haley Reinhart, Patty Farmer On this edition of KVC-Arts, we sit down with author Patty Farmer to discuss her book Playboy Swings: How… KVCRNEWS.ORG Steve Klumpp Steve Klumpp Oh I see you also had a link above. David Fleming David Fleming Hi Steve, I was indeed responding to your statements, which I appreciated. I wasn't able to comment or post in the section where you posted though, so I'm glad you saw this. If I'd not had the time constraint I had, I would have enjoyed (easily) speaking with Haley for a full hour or so. NOJO, F is for Family, her ealier works, philosophy toward performance... SO much more I was literally crossing off my list as I stared at the clock glaring at me. I sure wish I'd known about the Playboy connection though ![]() David Fleming And yes, while I did include a link, fell free to post and share asw often as you see fit. Steve Klumpp Steve Klumpp Haley offers great in depth responses doesn't she? I love her interviews as much as I love her music...well almost. David Fleming David Fleming She sure does. I'd interview her again in a heartbeat (((HALEY! Ya reading this?))). I will also admit that I had no idea who she was until the disc was sent to me (by a guy I was working with regarding Trans Siberian Orchestra?!?!?!). I became an INSTANT fan, and appreciate the three originals on What's That Sound more than the covers - which I'm realllllllly into as well. "Most" new fans of an artist are drawn to familiar covers sung by the artist before trying out their originals ) Also, a reminder of the type of audience who listens to Fleming, opening up to new fan possibilities who aren't fixated on Haley and Idol, is a very important step in her blossoming career ![]() RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - john - 10-20-2017 Trans Siberian Orchestra ![]() Quote:Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO[4]) is an American progressive rock band founded around 1993 by producer, composer, and lyricist Paul O'Neill, who brought together Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli (both members of Savatage) and keyboardist and co-producer Robert Kinkel to form the core of the creative team.... RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - Tusk - 10-20-2017 Podcast One's tweet promoting Randy's interview included a photo of Haley outside the studio I hadn't seen yet.... ![]() RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - Miguel - 10-20-2017 Randy Jackson: "Sunset Sound, that's goin' 'round." RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - john - 10-20-2017 Quote:PodcastOne @PodcastOne 10h Seems Randy didn't do much homework for his podcast and I would assume he didn't do a lot to set it up either. So, why Haley as his first interview? I have a couple of theories. One is that the producers of the podcast thought that the controversy generated by Randy's verbal abuse of Haley on the show would draw some interest. After all, we still have pundits who follow the show raising the issues in interviews with her. The second theory is that one of minions working for Randy actually is a fan of Haley and decided to put her on since she has a new album out and could use the publicity. ![]() RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - Miguel - 10-20-2017 I think it was a timing thing. Haley's publicist arranging media interviews coinciding with him launching his podcast. He probably did think it would generate a little buzz. However, it might be more a matter of him feeling comfortable starting out with an Idol tie. Randy might be taking a casual approach to his podcast, but I felt it was disrespectful of him to not have listened to the item his guest was there to promote. It's possible they threw the interview together quickly, but for someone supposedly focused on "what's next" it came across as lazy. ... One thing I found interesting was Randy's interest in Haley's management team. He used to manage Mariah Carey. He might still be interested in that side of the business. Perhaps he sees this podcast as a way for him to maintain his contacts. Haley cited ICM Partners, but he might have been thinking about the role of Simon Renshaw. In March 2016, Hits Daily Double listed their respective roles (as related to Haley) as: BOOKING: Craig Bruck/ICM MANAGEMENT: Simon Renshaw/ SRMGT RE: Haley promo appearances with Randy Jackson, YahooMusic... - InItToWinIt - 10-20-2017 I may be way off base but I was thinking Casey's relationship with Randy might have had something to do with this podcast coming about. As to Randy's not doing his homework, I don't get the feeling that Randy is really a homework doing type of guy.
