Yep... it's a pretty big deal in our town, and My wife's name is on this and the Recreation Center cornerstone as one of the Park District Commissioner approvers...and we are friends with some of these architects that designed it about 20 years ago (with photos on their website):

I'd love to be able to convince the Park Board to rename it in honor of Haley Reinhart - or at least the new amphitheatre bandshell that is being built adjacent to it.

I'll be giving this photo-memory of exactly 1 year ago to Harry, Angie & Patti tonight at Casey's gig along with a half-dozen Halien Shindig Party Maps for them to give their friends & band members who will likely be at my party. I'll also be inviting Casey to the party and who knows...we can dream can't we?:

Well, yes, you can dream ... and since you're dreaming, dream a bit more. If Casey were to accept your kind invitation (great idea by the way), that might mean a surprise guest performer in concert the night before. Casey's done some jammin' with Midnight before hasn't he? (I'm thinking of the appearances that Caley made in Chicago to promote BICO.

Oh ya, we were planning on it. He asked us to do the opening acoustic act, but the club had booked someone else and it didn't work out. That would have been fun. I wanted to go see him at City Winery last night but was busy. Angie might make it, so we'll be driving too...I'm sure we'll see you guys up there.

LOL. Captain Dinkins, if I was going to join "this shindig," I'd be doing so, with or without Casey. It's too bad that Midnight can't open for Casey -- that would have made for a terrific night! But try to enjoy anyway.
Maybe Casey will be extra whacky, just for you!
