I searched several of Haley's songs on YouTube to get a quick count on the number of views the various songs had received (each having multiple uploads). Studio versions only.
Here's my quick, dirty and rounded off view counts:
Undone -- 471,000
Oh My -- 140,000
Let's Run Away -- 117,000
Spiderweb -- 91,000
Wasted Tears -- 67,000
Hit the Ground Runnin' -- 63,000
I found over 75,000 views of covers of Undone. I found about 400 views of 2 "covers" of Oh My.
Quick view for count for the IheartRadio performances:
Undone -- 41,000
Oh My -- 6,800
Undone is the song that could give Haley a hit.

I agree - even though it's not my favorite, or I suspect Haleys, it's irresistable to the general public it seems.

Guess this shows there are more hurt people watching the "Undone" pain of shows like "Maury Povich" than there are sexy people watching the "Oh My!" shows like "Californication"

Undone it is. I find Miguel's comment about Haley's music being exposed to a 'new demographic' racist (see: page 4). I'm surprised that no one called it out.

^ Miguel made an observation. I don't see it as racist in any meaningful sense of that word (bias, prejudice, etc.). It is more evidence that Haley has broad appeal.

Yes, I agree! Haley is getting exposed to many different people which is great!

When you are talking sales and demographics...how are you supposed to describe it then? When you are trying to parse out where and whom to market towards?..
what term would you use? Are you saying there is no 'black' demographic? No Teen Demographic? No Hispanic demographic?
Advertisers use these numbers to gauge how much to charge depending on whom their product is targeted towards and what show's demographic they want to appeal to...
It's common knowledge that Haley has a large 'older' male demographic among her fans... is that an "ageist" comment? or just simply looking at the make up of her fans?
It is naive to believe that advertisers and promotions people don't look at demographics when they promote their products...
Racism is a problem in our society, but that does not mean everything is racist when you mention a race. Haley's fan base does not have a lot of African American fans, so Miguel's observation was that they are trying to introduce her to a 'wider' audience..and probably why the decision to include B.o.B. into one of her songs...to broaden her appeal.

I'm Asian too, but I have a lower threshhold when calling out others for 'racism' without first considering the context. I happen to believe that if you engage people who are racist, all you do is give them further fuel to feed on. Racism and hate are not in the words you use, they are just words, a way we communicate. Racism is in the thought and hatred behind the words...context.
An example:
Once a guy drove by me and yelled out "Get back on the boat you came on to your country where you belong..." (BTW, THIS is racist....)
My friend who was with me, he was white, got infuriated...."WTF!! What an a$$hole, did you hear what he just said to you?"
I told him, "I don't think he was talking to me, I flew here on a plane"
I defused it immediately, my friend laughed, calmed down and we proceeded with the rest of our day, leaving the bigot to wallow in his ingnorance and hate. I was not going to play his game... I was not going to reward that bigot by reacting the way he wanted, with hate and violence. His bigotry and ignorance is no reflection on me, and I don't need to lower myself to his level to know who I am.
Discussion on racism would go much easier if people weren't so reactionary and stopped to consider the context in which the words are used.

I've checked twitter multiple times every day for year or more for tweets related to Haley. The observation about tweets from that show's audience is no different than my noting tweets from various countries and tying them back to "Step Up Revolution."
If you were to watch "Chrissy and Mr. Jones" and found the commercials featured more African-Americans than average would you say the advertisers were racist for observing the makeup of the audience?

Asian Dude...I didn't call Miguel out on this because I, too, have been exposed to a 'new demographic'' since moving into the area I reside in. It is predominantly Indian/Pakistani, and what I hear, outside my window, on weekends, is their homeland music. I don't hear Aerosmith, Taylor Swift, Sean Kingston, Drake, Katy Perry, Bob Marley or Justin Beiber, etc. booming from car speakers of the young people around here. And when my ''adopted'' Jamaican son (my son's best friend of many years) comes by, he's listening to reggae mostly. I'm definitely not racist in any sense of the word, and I'm definitely hearing the music of other cultures all of the time. And the two biggest fireworks days/holidays of the year, where I live, are Dawali and Ramadan. And I don't live in either India or Pakistan. The day I hear a recognizable song blasting away is the day I fall off of the roof of my house.
Yet, I love where I live. But I would also love to NOT be the only one playing Haley (mostly) from my car speakers too! I'm trying to train my neighborhood, you see. I'd like to expose them to a new type of music just as they have done to me.
