I hope Haley can always find her way home because this Wheeling resident always misses her when she's gone. But I'll be at any event she has near her hometown.

This song has special meaning to me. When I was 10,000 miles from home this song registered to my soul..

I love this Blind Faith cover. That was special. Wow Haley, thanks for whipping that out on us. And John did a real nice job on guitar.
Midnight, I wasn't 10,000 miles from home when it imprinted on me but it's still quite evocative. Great to hear Haley opening up some of that that Cream, Blind Faith, Traffic sound. I lot of that music has stayed under the radar.
Edit: Wow. So good.

I think there was some happy juice in that water bottle. "Can't Find My Way Home" had a "Like a Star/Wild Horses" vibe to it. Love her softer side as much as her gritty power side.

I love the stage manners she had between songs, whether or not the "liquid courage" had a role. I felt like she was the host, not the guest which is how I want an entertainer to behave to make me feel good. Being a "host" to a party at your home etc is a combination of both being in charge but being in charge with a goal to provide a great time to your guests -- you're in charge but "serving" your guests ... nice combination.
Gaining the right personal way of doing that without necessarily needing a few drinks (occupational hazzard to be sure - artists are so succeptible) and translating the intimacy that is easy in a tiny venue to talking to each and every person in the same way even if there are 10k people in the audience (or millions on TV) is a trick I'm sure but its something that all types of star musicians find their own way to do (whether it might have been a quieter Bing Crosby or a more boisterous Steven Typler etc)
Thank to all of you that posted the videos.
I've paid for the Stagit performance but 6:00 pm is when I need to take care of dinner for my kids and get them going on homework etc (well I guess its only 30 minutes.. I can do that).
I'll put some in the tip jar to get some money to haley for the "free" bootleg concerts I've been enjoying... I'm sure that means that Stagit will be getting a big cut, rather than the bar earning money from drinks etc if I had been there, but their is some luck to these things and stagit has found an easy way to encourage and facilitate giving money to the artist so, an agent making something where there wasn't goign to be anything deserves a piece of the action.
