Split from the "Two Haley songs cleared to sing on American Idol" thread
After yesterday's 'snoozeworthy' AI top 4 show, I felt I had to cleanse my mental palette so searched out the S10 Idoloonies (as a fine companion piece to Hiphopgamer's, 'Haley's Journey'.)
Kind of hard to find them, I started here, at top 13 (Ashton, Karen R et all)

In order to watch the Idoloonies in order, I had to search under "American Idol" at TVline, the top 13 Idoloonies start on page '46'

What you have to do when you want to go to the next one, chronologically, is at the url (address) at the top, change the '46' to '45' then '44'and so on to advance to the page with the next episode. I'm just watching the Idoloonies, so am skipping the written articles.
They really start getting fun after Ashton, Karen and Thia are elimitanted and Jason starts comparing Haley, Pia and Lauren as the Power Puff girls (and soon after, Haley as Buffy) on this episode of Idoloonies (also, BATJ and "Hard Core Bangage")...
Funny watching Michael have the epiphany that he REALLY likes Haley, after 'hating' her most of the early part of the season (he hated her GBTC")

Well, Tusk you got me sidetracked for a while.
Some of the work Slezak did on those S10 videos is quite brilliant. It's fun to watch his use of the Slayer motif. I'm still laughing about the end of the May 3, 2011 episode of Idoloonies where Jimmy is explaining "..and if she goes home it will be because of that." (the "she doesn't know who she is as a singer" meme). As his voice is muted Buffy comes onto the screen behind him and says "If you think that's enough to kill me, you really don't know what a slayer is.""I need her to get to her hometown visit to see how the producers will sabotage her...she's going to get up on the stage and they're going to dump a bucket of pigs blood over her head...they hate her. ...F*** off Jimmy..." -M.S.

I wish I knew a way to get the Idoloonies as a keepsake (never know if/when they will be taken offline sometime in the future
)Haley's Journey isn't the same without the context or the drama of the competition and you get a sense of that with these Idoloonies... You see Janelle Arhtur and some others that I had forgotten about.
(Slezak despised Haley at first and predicted Stefano as one of the final two early
Hilarious to see his turn around, and how he's still carrying the Haley flag after admittedly Hating everything about her ...he aggressively panned GBTC, "Blue" and "Fallin'")We were lucky Idoloonies decided to go so in depth that season with so much coverage and commentary, so much to forget, and it really adds to Haley's "Mythology"

OMG Tusk...I just went through and watched all of them.
First and foremost..Haley's a BAMF.
Interestingly, Slezak mentioned in the week that Haley sang Rolling in the Deep, he mentioned that Haley needed to mix things up.
I really think Rolling in the Deep was Haley's turning point. Yes, she was in the bottom 3 that week. But she was never in it again. And two things happened after RITD.
1. That was the first Haley video to go viral.
2. Adam Lambert began his aggressive Haley twitter campaign.
And finally, the bussing Haley REALLY began after that week. I think she was running second to Scotty (especially after Casey was voted out, and he told his fans to vote for Haley.) And that's why there was a combination of bussing Haley and Lauren as the underdog..going on. (I really believe that season they wanted a Lauren/James finale. Lauren as winner, James because of the entertainment value. But it soon became evident that no one was beating Scotty. So they went for Lauren/Scotty..because of the criticisms of gender. Then Haley crashed the party.)
Speaking of bussing...I think it's interesting to see the evolution of bussing that has taken place after Simon left. When Simon was there, he would get rid of the unwanted contestants. Season 10, they tried to use JLO. (Honestly, I think Randy just didn't like her..) It didn't work. Season 11, they figured out performance order and song choice was key. (see DeAndre's..we're going to make you perform first, second or third every week..and then highly suggest songs to you..that you don't understand and don't fit your style. )
sidenote: Speaking of DeAndre, I always really like the relationships between idol contestants. It's adorable that he would sew a little rasta flag on his clothes like Naima did. But what was more interesting for me..was his relationship with Casey. DeAndre was unsure about trying out for Idol again, and Casey "forced" him into it. But Idoloonies repeatedly showed clips of Casey saying he didn't want to "lose himself" in this competition, and if he went home, he wanted to go home being himself on stage. DeAndre said exactly the same thing..and I have to think that Casey was an influence there. I really like the way idols support each other. Kris and Adam with Haley specifically.
And speaking of idol chemistry and relationships..I remember thinking it was really a shame we didn't get a Scotty/Haley finale. They actually had a really interesting friendship. You could tell it was sort of a minky playful relationship. I'm not sure if it was little brother/big sister..but more like little brother/big sister's hot friend. But both him and Lauren picking up Haley and swinging her was adorable. (As was Lauren's little squeal when Haley made it to the top 3.)
I also miss Steven Tyler. I know Slezak thought he was too nice. But he was like Paula for me. I could tell when he didn't like the performances, but he was still nice. I could tell when he was angry at the other judges critiques.
And finally, this showcased why Haley will always be my favorite Idol of all time and probably my favorite singer of all time. One of the most talented individuals..and she broke the script. I can't wait to read on this board that Haley signed a new deal. And I can't wait to see her on tour.

(Slezak panned Scotty from the get go.... Jordan Dorsey showing Scotty 'the hand' after a couple of notes of "Baby Lock them Doors" during Hollywood group round was all sorts of lulzy considering Scotty ended up taking the whole enchilada
