There is something about Scott Borchetta that just gives me the creeps. He's a tad bit better without that truly creepy facial hair the way he had it....but there is something else about him.

I always liked Jimmy Iovine even when he said some irratating things that I didn't buy he had a lot more to say within the same comments and I liked the interaction we saw with him in the recording studio scenes (they had time for that back then... and that's the best part of The Voice in my opinion.. seeing the kids work with the pros).

I liked Jimmy too..and I honestly think some things he said were edited to make it seem like he was saying things he wasn't.

For instance, AI edited something he said to Haley once, where it seemed like he was questioning her work ethic..when really..I think he was saying "Everyone knows Scotty is winning. I'm interested in you though, show me what you are made of."

I think Jimmy Iovine was hugely responsible for Haley's success on the show..not because Haley wasn't putting up huge performances..but in the small victories she'd get in production (song choice, her dad on stage..etc..) I think he was involved..because I honestly think she was his preference.

Well, the bus tried to run right over Dalton tonight.

I don't say this very often..but good. Not my preference for top 2..(I would have preferred Sonika and Avalon. Although Sonika really didn't deserve it over Trent and La'Porsha) but certainly a worthy top 2.

I saw that. Misinformation about CHFIL and misleading information about Listen Up! (it sold 20K in the first week). Makes the delay of the album out to be a problem it seems, rather that a delay due to CHFIL taking off. And too far back on the list. Tongue

This is it - the Idol finale happens this week. They really cut the season short, and I think in doing so it really isn't even the same show. And no tour this year. Five years ago this week Haley sang Piece of My Heart and it was mid season on the show.

They were bussing Dalton this past week, noting that he has a good voice, but not a great voice like some of the others. Early on they hyped him, probably thinking he was creative and interesting on stage, and he brought the boy-band appeal. But the luster has worn off as he puts up mediocre performances week after week. He has a huge fan base and now they probably fear they might not be able to get rid of him before the final two. Well I guess ye reap what ye sow.

It's really a shame. Idol deserved better. And they did have some really talented kids this season that could have grown and given some great performances once they got their feet wet. I'm hoping for a good finale out of it at least.

To be fair, they didn't hype Haley's audition up in the slightest. (And Lyndsey is a huge Haley fan, so it wasn't out of neglect..)
