What's that Sound is all about (or mostly about) honoring the late 1960's-- a tumultuous time in American history. It wasn't all about love, live & let live, the Summer of Love, etc. It was also a time of protests, sit in's, major disagreements, peaceful protests, some riots, a few serious injustices (e.g. 4 dead in Ohio), and 50,000+ young Americans dying overseas. Calling out injustices was a major theme of the period. My personal view is that Haley was likely doing that just that in this case, and I have zero issue with her doing that if that is the case. Haley has always showed a rebel side, and I admire that about her. Some of the songs on the record play into these themes of calling out the bad, and then bringing us together. The more you hear Haley sing unfiltered on a recording, the more you hear the great Janis Joplin in her voice. There is a lot of that in Baby It's You. Janis was more than a bit of a rebel, someone who plowed her own path. Haley has certainly been creating her own future, and in her own way! I doubt this incident will have a long-term negative effect, and (has been pointed out numerous times) may turn out helping her.

Scroll down to near the end of the article, the first video in the compilation is of Haley singing w/ Ariana...
I don't recall if it was a way to report about her coming album, but of course, the news hit and the article was redone to it's current headline about the incident

Honestly, nothing to worry about here.
Even if Haley was a drunk mess, this isn't a huge charge. And if her side is the truth (which, given the club's history, I think it likely is..) this is just going to be promotion (ironically going with "For What It's Worth") and an interesting story.

Sure, this is a two day story. Best outcome for Haley is that charges get dropped, otherwise she pays a fine. I don't think anybody gets sued, despite some of the spirited defenses of Haley by some Haliens. Dina saw that the bouncers might have been out too aggressive but her comments sound like damage control. It results in twitter headlines like this: "Haley Reinhart was booked for battery, but her attorney says she's the one who was assaulted" which raises doubts that would not otherwise be there.
If Haley sings with PMJ and Ariana is the emcee I would expect a few funny jabs sent in Haley's direction.
The coverage of the arrest shows that Haley's AI past dominates when the coverage targets a general audience.

She needs to parlay some of this coverage into some interviews with friendly media. Haley just added a little more texture to her story and public persona.
