Hi. For any Haliens that missed the "Better" tour here in US, I purchased a few extra T shirts at the Pittsburgh show. I will sell at what I paid ($20) and $3 for shipping. "Listen" was a video I thought I might not post because it seemed the distortion I heard on my initial pass of the audio, wasn't any good. Add to that, the videographer being all over the stage, I figured it didn't make for good video. I was fairly successful editing him out of other Lincoln Hall videos because I had two sources to be able to manipulate. In this case, Babbs didn't video Listen because her vantage was obstructed.
She did, however, video Haley dancing during John's solo. It was vertical orientation, like a cell phone video. I actually posted "Listen" late at night, a few days ago, but took it down after awhile, I just wasn't happy w/ the audio....
Because I took down the video to try to improve the audio, that was when I got the idea of how to use Babb's video of Haley dancing, which is what you see during John's solo
(I thought making it 'surreal' was apt for the solo and the song, the psychedelic/Jefferson Airplane beginning is my favorite part of the song 
) While working with the BGDays videos, I discovered something working with it's audios. I had Four different sources (One of my brightest ideas was to have my DSLR record even though I wasn't counting on it, I just set it on the Soundboard guy's table, pointed it to the stage and let it record... it ended up being one of my better sounding audios when there wasn't conversations on it
).What I discovered is, sometimes, a trick that works is overlaying audios over each other. The audio from my Point and Shoot has a tinnier, sound to it, while the DSLR audio is a warmer, richer, fuller sound. Obviously, for it to work, you had to line the audios up precisely so there's no echo or delay. Once you have it lined up, you can manipulate certain parts on one audio, and on the second audio, change the volume on some clips, overlap them to make one fuller, more complete audio.
That is where Bob's audio from Lincoln Hall comes in. I used the 2nd audio source to help 'muffle' or subdue some clipping and the sharp sounds coming from the cymbals while trying to preserve Haley's vocals above the music (Haley's vocals are more distinct on my audio than Bob's)
It doesn't always work, but when it does, it also has unexpected benefits. Sometimes, the second audio can mask or obscure some chatter, audio clipping or distortion.... it might be because you're doubling up on some sounds, so the loudness of a distortion/distraction you hear on one audio source is basically 'halved'/reduced in the overall audio, making it less prominent
This has also worked on the recent Idyllvwild videos, like Steam Roller Blues, in which the 'better' audio, didn't have the nice full sound of Casey's bass, so I married it with the DSLR's audio, each audio enhancing all the while muffling/reducing chatter sounds from the other

I wanted to post the whole MJ medley from the El Rey, but I had just got my camera back from repair and for some reason, it would not focus medium distance, it either focused from a further distance, or close up. This happened on most of Jacob's part of the medley, me zooming in and out trying to get the camera to focus. Eventually, I settled on close up when it was Haley's turn, when it finally focused. So instead of including an out of focus Jacob at the beginning of the video, here's Haley's portion, a little shaky due to being zoomed up so much, but the decent audio makes up for it

As usual, making a video 'basic' by turning it black and white helps hide some of the video issues and resolution... I was just glad I finally got it to focus, one of the few times, in time to at least capture this.
I'd have to look to be sure, but I'm fairly certain, LA was the first time she rolled out this song and the MJ Medley for the tour. I think Jacob sang Rock With You during his set, either in SF or Petaluma, they didn't perform it at those shows as a medley....that's why at the end of the video, you hear her saying "Just for you LA", I guess they decided to keep it, as she performed it the next day in San Diego
