Well, I've had people post as me before...so.... but then again, can the world handle two LovinDa's...even if one is an imposter? ![]() (08-19-2012, 11:43 PM)LovinDaHaley Wrote: PS. Where have you been young man? We were worried sick!I figured with all the new LovinDa love, your dance card might be full ..... ![]() Back on Thread (I think) I know in the back of my mind, Haley will be OK in the long run, and selfishly, her not making it BIG right away means there will still be intimate performances to enjoy (and the environment Haley is at her best). I didn't attend S10 tour because I knew that was not the way I wanted my first exposure to Haley's vocals to sound...amplified over 10's of thousands of screaming fans echoing in a stadium.. ![]() That being said, we had such a good start, and you're right, Tom, Interscope has done right by Haley with her artistic freedom and we don't know all of the facts and the efforts being put in to help her career by her reps. I just can't get past how underwhelming the 'result' has been. We still harp at how she STILL hasn't had any decent 'talk show' appearance outside of some local TV and Conan (limited Cable audience) The View was OK, but short lived.... As I have posted, Haley has more than held her end of the deal with consistent performances, no 'stage' too big for her. It just seems it has gone for naught, mostly, there is so much to capitalise on but all we have gotten is a few youtube vids and interviews.... Lollapalooza is a big disapointment for me in the respect that they have done practically nothing to capitalise on a BIG event for her which she slayed. I think it 's fair, at this point, to wonder why so many missed opportunities?.... Can you imagine what an interview or two on a major talk show hightlighting how she did at Lolla, could do for her exposure? I see articles that use words like 'historic' regarding the performance, but no follow through to illustruate it.... ![]() I try to be positive in most of my posts regarding Haley (not always successful) , but the follow through to highlight all the things she's recently done, that has been underwhelming, if not almost non existent. I have been a defender of her reps, a 'I know there must be something in the works/planned for Haley' fan as much as I can, but if there was a time for a big Haley 'splash' it should have been Lollapalooza....instead.... do you hear the silence? New to posting here, but have been reading for a while. I had joined Idol forum a while back as it was what I bumped into first looking into Haley and how she is getting on with things. I too tire of that site because it seems like it's for the 15 yrs old and younger set - the company of whom I actively avoid ![]() I like reading the banter here for the most part. And I like how most posters find information and try to see where it leads. Also that although some of ya are a little on the "STAN" side (you know who you are), LOL. Others quickly shine the light of reality and then the world becomes equalized again ![]() I am someone who loves rock'in-fn-roll. I was excited when Hales popped up with Myles and Slash in February. Was so excited wondering what her album was gonna be after that... seemed a direction was suggested. I am not one who likes "Free" but, I love how Haley sings it - which says a lot about how I am looking at things. I am also very aware that most of everything is not in her control. I'd love it if she could find her way to her bluesy/jazzy/rock side as she grows into herself. I know she's young and away from home for the first time in her life, and that she's contracted without wiggle room. I would like to remove her from the runway so to speak, and throw her in an old chevy with some great rockers and a bag of chips (plus a bottle of nail polish for her sanity) and send them off to find themselves and find their music, like great bands used to do. I am excited for the Allen Stone thing, and for the Mayfield thing. I hope she low-keys them both because that is when she performs best IMHO. And the sooner she can get out of the Idol shadow the better for her as I believe as I think some others have mentioned that there is so much stigma with that, that some don't want to have an Idol opening for them - regardless of how good a person and artist they are. Allen has obviously thought out-of-the-box and this will be a chance for Haley to key it down a bit and show everybody she is not a "commercial dog" (snoopy reference).
