(attendance is slipping, unfortunately, as the losses mount, so the M's need the numbers Tongue .)

My hope is that OM catches on, attached to something positive like a winning streak or something (sort of like what happened with Pia and the LA Kings Hockey team)

I'd really like them to continue to look for "other uses of "Oh My" Big Grin

I'm going to see a game again on the 22nd. I want to bring some kind of gesture of thanks for the consideration (continue the positive vibes).... Beers? Cookies? Bottles of Wine?
(Of course letters of commendations for both Gregg and Monica for their hospitality Cool )

Chocolates are not a bad idea... I was thinking anything alcoholic would be generally inappropriate ... maybe chocolates, fruits and cookies in a basket Big Grin

I should probably get some kind of confirmation when/where they were thinking about using it ..... I'm trying not to be OTT pestering about the particulars in my communication, as that can become tiresome, but it would suck to go and not hear it. Undecided

Mariners DJ is a thing they do where you can chose what they play from a song list, sometimes the songs are posted on the new HUGE HD scoreboard with info and trivia.

I am thinking that if the Twins, Mariners and White Sox combined into one team, they could become the Twin Mariner Sox (matchy matchy sox)...and might even have a chance to contend. Rotating on three home field venues would mean I wouldn't have so damn many tickets to deal with for a lousy team...Tongue

Difference is the White Sox and Twins have been to and won a World Series.... The Mariners just get to see their players become stars after they leave Tongue
We define 'Baseball Futility"
Since 1977 only 4 playoff appearances, even their record breaking season in 2001 of 116 wins, they didn't even get to the WS

Since the Rangers just recently made it, the Mariners might be the only MLB team to never have made the WS.

(Even Randy Johnson will probably go into the HOF as a Diamondback Sad )

^ you make a valid point at the ineptitude of the Mariners. Until the Twins won the 1987 WS we never had a winner in Minnesota...not counting the Minneapolis Lakers (forerunners of the LA Lakers) who won 5 NBA championships in the 40s and 50s. Still, we could really use Felix Hernandez here in Minnesota as we have no ace on this staff.

I did have a great time yesterday watching outdoor baseball in Minnesota. Enjoyed the sweep of the White Sox...which I will remind Haley was the only thing I found not perfect about her...she's a White Sox fan! Dodgy
