So was his "idea" to cater to Latinos by having a dual-language album? I don't buy that it's about giving back. I think he's business-minded and he thought he could leverage the Latino market to interest a label -- anything to get a deal and potentially make a name for himself.
No question that it is a business decision.
However to give Stephano a bit of credit, the words quoted above were pretty qualified. I don't think he was claiming to be any saint or humanitarian in the matter. It looks like he says " I appreciated the Love I got from this segment of fans and I want to toss some love right back at them". The key word was "that" , implying to me "that love" .
I almost read it as him being upfront saying " I want to give all my different fans what they want to hear"
Now, if he doesn't truely have spanish speaking fan groups it is more more a load of crap. If he does actually have tons of girls writing him in spanish etc, its a pretty "legit" thing to say "hey I hear you.. this one's for you".
All in all He seems to be pretty light-hearted about teasing himself for some of his kinda cheap priorities.
I wouldn't have been surprised if he -also- said something like "Maybe the spanish songs will help me get a (air quotes) "date" with some hot latinas" and the interviewer kindly left that out of the article. --
I can't help smiling about the "ex wants sex tonight" line in the song as a "falling in my lap " windfall ... he's got the priorities of a 20 year old guy.... or, well probably even older guys.
(I hope that all came across as me trying to be a bit funny, not really taking issue)

^ LOL – I do hate to be childishly critical, but… YES, and he could just piggyback Durbin when a strong wind gets up under them ears and they'd both be off to the Star Command space station. I say dump the pink hair James and grow some wing coverage before you end up on Mars with Curiosity taking pictures of dirt.

The guys aren't that bad , and both earnest and devoted to what they do
.. but it would be a "clockwork orarange" experience if was strapped to a chair through 17 of those.
