I just used this quote in an IDF thread with some complaining that most Haley's songs aren't 'current' enough ....ugh I thought part of what we loved about Haley is she doesn't sound like those disposable 'personalities' (it's a stretch IMO to call Nickin Minaj 'an artist' Angry ) .

I get being critical and differing taste, I just don't get finding something unique and trying to change it into something you already have....

Haley, don't change a damn thing...... Many of us love you just the way you are and enjoy watching your creative essence grow Heart

Stick to your guns, Haley & Casey. (You didn't get invited to Carnegie Hall to jam with Irvin Mayfield because you gravitate to what's "current." Your mission, which I think you both have already accepted, is to make good music "current" again.

Yes, I suspect that's Casey's signature. But what we've come to observe about Casey is that he is experimental and shifts frequently. Thus, his current "Casey style smiley face" signature may change in a few short months.Smile Casey is nothing, if not about evolving.

Love Casey's message, but hope he has his shit together. He's looking real rough these days, and sounds pretty spaced out in interviews. Hope he goes more jazz, less pop on his album, but the vids he posts make me think that won't be the case.
