^ I did have it private, but thought everyone here could watch it...Buzz bumbling along on the tube...changed it, but probably a duplicate of Himm's now.
Ladies and Gentlemen...the amazing Pat Friedrich & Photography!

"Private" means only you and those Youtube friends that you designate can see it. "Unlisted" means it won't come up in a youtube search but if you give the link it is viewable with all that have the link.

Sorry for this late recap of our amazing night at The Vic in Chicago on June 4th. I know most of the night has already been recounted by others. So I hope this isn't too boring.
We started out from Himm's house in Wheeling around 315pm that day. Himm graciously offered to drive the 4 of us (Buzz, Pat, Penny and I) to the Vic. We picked up Pat at her hotel and then spent the better part of 2 hours crawling down the expressway to the venue. We arrived in time to catch a bite to eat at a cute little tropical bar, Trader Todds, which was down the street from the Vic.
When it got close to 6pm, we could see people lining up outside the venue, and went to stand in line. There was an interesting mix of people and a lot were dressed up. One guy was in a bright blue suit, and another in an orange suit. some guys were in vests and ties. the ladies- black dresses with lace or fringe. Even if you weren't wearing vintage this show makes you want to step up your wardrobe a little.
They let us in around 6pm. As we walked in, Casey, Haley, Jacob and Harry were up on stage jammin and playin Sweet Home Chicago. It was a very cool, laid back scene. Scott came in, followed by the rest of the cast, and introduced everyone. As Buzz already recounted, we all took individual pictures with the cast and then the 5 of us got a group shot together with everyone. Photohogs! haha After all the pics were taken we were able to get a drink, and hang out with the cast till around 7pm. Haley and Casey sat together signing autographs and talking with fans. Haley's parents and sister came in too.
I liked the casual atmosphere of the meet and greet. And we were able to pick a prime spot for the show right in front of the mic stands. I talked to a guy behind me who said he was a big fan of Haley's from AI but didn't know what had happened to her since then. He was excited when he found out Haley was playing with PMJ.
At the strike of 8pm, the lights went down and the show started. And every performer was amazing. The MC, Wilkie Ferguson was very fun and energetic. I am always watching the videos of Haley but didn't realize how talented every member of the cast was. Wilkie has a great voice and Maiya - what a powerhouse singer with just the right amount of attitude. Sarah Reich, the tap dancer was surprising good. Amazing energy and I don't think she broke a sweat. I loved Ariana too! Her voice is quite good. She is a riot and the show wouldn't be the same without her. Just for the record, it was me that was pointing to Buzz when Ariana asked if anyone in the audience was from Minnesota. And I swear his face was beat red. haha
Jacob too knows how to entertain the crowd. Casey, well, we all know what Casey can do. Love him...
And then there is Haley...
Haley is really in her element in this show! She has never looked or sounded better!! And being lucky enough to be in the front row was like WOW!! I know everyone wants her to sing her own songs, and do her own thing, but these songs like Creep, and Lovefool, and Imagine bring out all the qualities in her voice that we love. She has such control and power. Hearing all the extended applause at the end of Creep, how can you not just well up with tears. I know I did. And when I looked around me, it sure seemed like I wasn't the only one.
Every person leaving that theater had a smile on their face. We did hang around after the show chatting with Haley's aunt and some family friends. After a while Scott and Miaya and Sarah came out. Eventually Casey and Haley came out too. Scott is a nice guy like others have mentioned. very approachable... I don't know how he does it except to say he is very ambitious.
Eventually, we all meandered down the street to a neighborhood bar.
To be continued.....
My internet is out till next week so I am writing this on my phone. Please bare with me. Cant put up any pictures or vids till next week either.

Wow, Babbsie. You wrote all of that on/from your phone? My hat is definitely off to you!
No, your recount is definitely NOT boring -- it's filling in the details that haven't necessarily been relayed before and helps complete the picture -- or movie, perhaps is a better analogy. Thank you for part 1!
And Pat, your photos are superb! Thank you for being there, taking them, and sharing

Indeed, not boring at all. Thanks Babbs!! It's nice to get your perspective on PMJ, Haley's family, and the behind the scenes activity.
