Haley looks fantastic. I'm a little apprehensive about the end result though given Danni G's lack of experience as a video director, the CGI/composite guy was at the shoot (i.e., it may not be his profession) and they ran out of time. I hope to be wonderfully surprised.

The cgi guy sounded to be experienced I overheard someone list a few of the projects he's worked on (although I can't recall specifics) and he was approached by a photographer at the shoot who said he wanted to work with him on a future project because he's seen the stuff Evan(?) has worked on and was very impressed...

My hope is that these are talented young people who are hungry to impress and further their careers.

I just want to add my gratitude to Tusk for sharing the stories, tweets and pictures, as much as he could, during the video shoot throughout the day. You always do an outstanding job in describing what you experience. It really helps us to be part of it too. I also want to thank Rachel for her “haleyreinhartnews” site. It is nicely laid out, clear, easy to follow and very well written.
From the pictures, it looks like a top notch production. It will be fun to see how the airplanes and setting will be used in conjunction with DanniG and the performers especially Haley, Casey and the Halien extras. Much of Haley’s album is funky and sassy and it seems Haley has taken it to another level with “Show Me Your Moves”. So excited to see and hear everything.

Sorry for the awkward posts, using phone.
The only thing that changed is the director. Everyone else was the same. Also, this is not run by a corporation with big bucks, but a group of creatives excited to see where their combined talents can take them without that corporate interest. This will be the result of their comhined talents. As a , somewhat, creative person, i can certainly understand the excitement foe this project from all involved. I think that counts for something (good). I have said a few times, there was an air of positivity and enthusiasm the entire 12(?) hrs we were there, a result of that creative enthusiasm.
I will also say, Haley had a lot of input in the shoot, suggesting this or that, "let's try this (that)"...she was not just a barbie doll being moved around. She was very involved. Perhaps Rhea wasn't willing to have that flexibility (speculation only)
Changing direction, running out of time, making on the spot decisions....these are NOT uncommon to these types of projects. To single these out as potential points of worry is to assume this never happens at other "professional" shoots...delay, change of direction, working within your means...happens ALOT in professional projects as well.
I know the concern is because we are impatient for Haley to reach the potential we KNOW she has in her, but what's important to me is these people all have accomplished, to some extent , in their separate fields, are enthused, obviously respect and like each other, and have come together to see what they can do without corporate interference.... I really think that matters.
Haley obviously enjoyed the heck out of herself, had input and was enthused the entire time.... This project will come from their combined creative effort IMO that's important.
It won't break her, but has potential to really do something good for all of them.
Let's wait and see what this creative stew of personalities and creative talents are capable of before we commence with the hand wringing
I want to add, that the theme of the video, a nod to her fans, us...a 'love letter' to her Haliens speaksba little to her motivation and what this project means to her. It's personal, something that should not be overlooked. This creative effort is for us too

I am so happy about the positive energy coming out of this and how amazing and beautiful the pictures are.
I have to admit, I initially was slightly half-hearted about the video project a few weeks back (but did help fund it - of course!), just because there are so many videos out there. But now I am excited!

I'm just back from lunch with Angie Reinhart at the restaurant she works at on Wednesdays. I had printed out the photos of Haley all made up and Angie was shocked at how cool she looked! She hadn't seen the pictures yet but had heard from Haley this morning that Haley had a blast doing the shoot and said it really went well with no mess-ups.
I also showed her my photos I took of Haley, Casey & Blake at the AI finale' and she said her dad showed me those photos I emailed to him. Glad to know that Harry shares the stuff I send him with the family and I also suspect he's forwarded some of my better emails to Haley.
Tusk...what would we do without you? $1,000 to be a first hand observer & contrributor to the video was really taking one for the team. Nice job in what you were able to spoon-fed us. Thanks!

I had maybe even more trepidation going in than most because of my investment, financially and otherwise, I'll admit. I was fearful they would just put us in front of a green screen, film a few seconds and shunt us into the corner to get us out of the way.
The opposite occurred, we got directions on the shoot, several takes for different footage, got professional make up.... we felt like we were part of the goings on....
I'll say it again, way more than I could ever have hoped for AND we got to spend half a day w/ Haley doing what she loves and giving us attention. I can't emphasize enough the value and experience we got for our donation. Could not have been any better
