I thought it might've come the term "WhiteBread" (slang for a white person), & Casey, being a redhead (a ginger) put a twist on it & changed it to "GingerBread". Then put that together w/ The GingerBread Man & you get "The GingerBread Band".
I've tweeted Casey before, telling him I thought it was a clever name for a band & told him I thought a good name for their next LP would be "On The Run" or possibly "On The Run (as fast as we can)". I think he liked it, cause he favorited it at least.

They're a major booking agency. If you want to hire one of their artists, you have to go through them. They have a significant clientele
They had to go through CAA to hire Haley for the private events

I don't think one necessarily is reliant upon the other

I'm glad to have made Jacob's acquaintance, really friendly and talented. I might be communicating with him to try and get he and Casey to play Jazz Alley (hoping) Angel
I'm glad you made Jacob's acquaintance as well, although I believe he played at the City Walk gig last summer. I guess he didn't hang around long enough so that you could meet him then.
That said, I, too, am hopeful about a Jazz Alley gig. However, I also realize that place isn't exactly an "small, intimate" jazz venue: its seating capacity is around the 400 seat range. Does Casey have any idea how many fans he might have in this area? (Another reason that I was thinking about this last week [I was on vacation last week]: it might be better to try to add Casey & Co/Haley with another artist. Spencer Day comes to mind for me. In styles, they are somewhat different, but both are young [Spencer's older -- in his 30's (gasp)] but might be able connect on a few things to play together. It also might attract a wider range in audience.)
Lastly (at this point, anyway), I get a kick out of Jacob's twitter account name. I assume that the "SaysKnee" part is an obvious phonetic way to pronounce his last name. If so, Jacob, you make me smile and my hat (if I wore one) is off. So cute -- and smart. He makes me chuckle. And when he plays, he makes my jaw drop cuz he's sooo blasted good! (I'm of an age where I think no one that young so be so good!
But I suspect he did some work to get there and I respect that!)

First, thanks to Tusk for making the video shoot exciting for me and I'm sure everyone else. I had so much fun following it on twitter on my ipad. Your pics are freaking amazing!
I think this video is going to be something really special. I just have a feeling that is going to lead to more opportunities for Haley. She has it all going for her-she just needs her name out there more. Last nite I watched the Idoloonies with Haley again on youtube. Her personality is so cool and she's very intelligent--I believe big things are coming her way. I relived all that anger along with Slezak about how she treated after she was killing it every week. I can't believe that it still pisses me off so much

It's so nice to see that Casey and the Gingerbread Band are included. I thought it might happen after I read the lyrics on here. (Still waiting for mine).
