Haley Reinhart - Film Music - LovinDaHaley - 08-15-2012
(IMHO) All of the songs from Haley Reinhart's album, "Listen Up!" lend themselves particularly well to film, especially when used diegetically as in "Step Up Revolution". (Diegetic: Part of the narrative sphere of the film. For instance, if a character in the film is playing a piano, or turns on a CD player, the resulting sound is diegetic.)
I really do think we'll be hearing a lot of Haley's songs in the movies for years and years to come.
And there's already so many YouTube videos inspired by a Haley Reinhart song. The romantic videos inspired by "Undone" just keep rolling in.
Recently I took a small glimpse at the powerful affect "Walking On Heaven" could have in a video. There's been a contest on YouTube, "Anime's Next Top Model", it's a kids thing (I would hope); nevertheless, I was really impressed by how well "Walking On Heaven" worked with the camera sounds and visual affects in the video- It actually gives that segment of the video a nice touch of class. I can totally imagine a real life photoshoot scene in a movie using that song to set the right mood:
Make Me Anime's Next Top Model
"Walking On Heaven" starts playing near the end, at 6:40
