Listen Up Vocal Range - john - 10-18-2012
DJSimon from the UK likes to analyze vocal ranges. Here's the one for LU.
One from 2011 covering Haley's studio cuts from AI.
Another from 2011 "Upper Belt Battle - F5-G#5" that includes Haley. Interesting that Haley gets the cover shot.

Sounds like those have been analyzed from piano chords. Three octave maybe but not five. Mariah Carey in her glory as a full five octave range.

I think I've now seen "HALEY REINHART" spelled 20 different ways.
You wouldn't think it would be so difficult to get those 13 letters right.
Now if she was named "Django" I'd understand. Great Photo of her though!

I didn't notice that. But it is spelled correctly on the other two videos

What do all those letters and numbers mean? I dont know anything about music or notes
RE: Listen Up Vocal Range - midnightblues - 10-19-2012
Hi there 4-ever I'll try to answer that, and unless you're really familiar with music theory it may not make any sense to you. I'll just give you a very small answer because I don't know that much about the theory either. Seven notes to the spectrum A B C D E F that's all the notes that there are but it would be rather boring and would sound very good if those notes were played without tweaking them a little bit. You have flats and sharps#a flat lowers the pitch of the note whereas sharps raise the pitch of the note.
G#that's G sharp. Adding some spice to the notes and this is only from my knowledge of playing guitar and not piano. Say like if you want to play C major, that's basic and it only takes holding down three notes on the guitar fret board. If you wanted to change the dynamics you could add a seventh or fifth to make the same basic chord sound different.
Now getting into the numbers like A seventh,D nine all they are are just chord progressions there's names of them and all they do is just change the pitch or alter the progression of basic chords that's about all I can tell you.
Now you can start getting into octaves and I'll be very short on that and octaves combination of notes and chords or a series of tones of a different key on an instrument. So it takes your seven notes like we talked about to make up an octave or they call it the 8° of a given note.
I don't know if I made any sense because it's very very complicated if you have another questioni'll try to answer it.Thisis just very very basic music 101 I hope I got it rightLOL
Keep the questions, comming, and little lady you're doing a good job being the liaison on the East Coast for Hayley Fans. Giving Haley LOver a(((((((( Hug))))))))

Haley's Vocal Range - HalienFromPH - 03-25-2013
Note from Miguel: I merged this post and the ones immediately following it into a thread about Haley's vocal range from 2012.
ok. I just found out a lot of youtube videos showing Haley's vocal range...
but this one is quite different, because of the fact that it includes Haley's unreleased tracks..
but... I barely know the first song.
