RE: 12-12-12 Sandy Relief Concert Will Be Largest Event in Music History - Haleylvr4evr - 12-12-2012 Haley needs to be at this!! She could finally meet Sir Paul McCartney and many other rock legends!!!! RE: 12-12-12 Sandy Relief Concert Will Be Largest Event in Music History - midnightblues - 12-12-2012 Right now Claption is doing Crossroads, Jamming in the fast lane Got's to love Sir Claption. ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: 12-12-12 Sandy Relief Concert Will Be Largest Event in Music History - Tusk - 12-12-2012 I was watching the Waters' set and saw this guy singing who looked/dressed 'sort of' like Vedder and I thought..."Who the eff is that? What happened to Vedder's face, and he doesn't even sound like Vedder any more"... ![]() Then the real Eddie Vedder came out for "Comfortably Numb"....thank goodness ![]() ![]() Even though Pearl Jam is 'from' the NW, I was never a big fan...I thought Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden were better. But I've got to give Vedder props, he sounded pretty good. I was fortunate to see Pink Floyd once and Roger Waters twice and I have to say, Waters was by far the better concert experience. Except for David Gilmour highlights, the Pink Floyd show was a bit of a let down. I love David Gilmour, fantastic guitarist and vocalist, but Roger Waters is the showman and heart and soul of Pink Floyd (BTW...Kanye West...what a disgrace. It almost feels like the tries to make himself more of an a$$ every time he performs....who buys his stuff and what are they on?) Notice how he struts around the stage like he's the ring master. He also need a lot of support since his vocal and musical abilities are limited. Gilmore has stated that he has lost interest in doing those kind of shows although he has done them, without Waters, in the past. Watch the "Delicate Sound of Thunder" concert done the late 80s. Kanye West - terrible at the 121212 show although some of the audience seemed to like it. Lyrics are a big part of rap but I had no idea what he was saying. |
