Fleetwood Mac Announce Reunion Tour Dates With Christine McVie - Miguel - 03-27-2014 Quote:A little over a year ago, Stevie Nicks told Rolling Stone there was "more of a chance of an asteroid hitting the Earth" than Christine McVie returning to Fleetwood Mac. Well, it might be time to prepare for armageddon because the Mac's keyboardist and singer - who quit the band in 1998 after a three-decade stint in the group - is returning for a world tour beginning this September and a possible new album. I would love to go see Fleetwood Mac! And with all the original members too! I don't much like seeing bands where there is only one original member left and the rest of the band is all "new" members. They may they sound good, but it's not the same IMO. But Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks....with Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, and John McVie!! Classic lineup! Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 31st to American Express card members, then to general public on April 7th. Too bad I don't have an AE card. I probably have no chance of getting good seats without scalper prices $$ Fleetwood Mac in London in Sept, 2013 Sounds like Himm is in the audience.(listen to the cheers at the end of the song) hehe RE: Fleetwood Mac Announce Reunion Tour Dates With Christine McVie - lauraliz - 03-30-2014 I have never seen Fleetwood Mac--which is crazy--cause I ![]() Plus, they are way at the top of my bucket list for concerts. So, I am going to try & get tix to the Verizon Center in DC on Halloween. (I only wish it was in Baltimore. We have concert venues here hahaha) RE: Fleetwood Mac Announce Reunion Tour Dates With Christine McVie - kaypea - 03-31-2014 That's actually quite a story-her coming back to the the band after being away for 15+years.And at the age of 71.It will probably be terrifying and thrilling at the same time for her.But she's not lacking for fans as you can see in the video. Its amazing-the staying power of this band after so many years. It was the opening event and I went with the sexy star of the Chicago Hustle - Janie Fincher - of the first women's pro basketball league. The acoustics were horrible then and Stevie Nicks was very drugged out of her mind during the performance. We saw the band in their limo pass in front of us on their way to the venue. RE: Fleetwood Mac Announce Reunion Tour Dates With Christine McVie - rmd1064 - 03-31-2014 Over the weekend, I watched a terrific documentary called “Sound City” which was the story of a small sound studio in Van Nuys CA started around 1969. The place was dumpy and in a nondescript industry park area, but produced some of the greatest LPs ever, including ones from Neil Young, Tom Petty, Grateful Dead, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar and Foreigner. Nirvana recorded “NeverMind” there in 1991 and the documentary was produced by Dave Grohl as a dedication to the studio. I highly recommend it if you love music history. Anyway, regarding Fleetwood Mac, Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks recorded their first record “Buckingham-Nicks” there in 1973, but the record did not do well and they were later dropped from their label. So about a year later, Mick Fleetwood, who was in the very blues-based British band Fleetwood Mac, was in Sound City and listening to that record, and loved it. So shortly thereafter they met at the studio and Stevie and Lindsay agreed to join Fleetwood Mac. They recorded their first record there, “Fleetwood Mac”, in 1975 featuring the songs “Rhiannon”, “Say You Love Me”, “Landslide”, and “Monday Morning”. And the rest is history. By the way, in those early days, the youthful and beautiful Stevie Nicks really did have quite a resemblance to Haley. Hopefully, luck or whatever smiles on Haley too and we get to enjoy her career in much the same way as Stevie. RE: Fleetwood Mac Announce Reunion Tour Dates With Christine McVie - Babbs234 - 03-31-2014 Funny, after me discussing wanting to see Fleetwood Mac, my sister just called me and said she bought tickets to the show! In the NOSEBLEED section. ![]() RE: Fleetwood Mac Announce Reunion Tour Dates With Christine McVie - Tusk - 03-31-2014 Appreciate the shows with Haley ![]() RE: Fleetwood Mac Announce Reunion Tour Dates With Christine McVie - john - 03-31-2014 (03-31-2014, 11:24 AM)rmd1064 Wrote: Anyway, regarding Fleetwood Mac, Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks recorded their first record “Buckingham-Nicks” there in 1973, but the record did not do well and they were later dropped from their label.
