The song has 169,273,087 streams on Spotify. So it has been getting more than 158,000 listens per day since June 4th. Steady.

That is crazy. Shows the world is a big place.
And nearly everything in it is yours if you can break through.

I know this had been floating in the ether for a while, but CHFIL was finally just officially certified Platinum by RIAA on October 4, indicating 1,000,000 units sold!

Thanks for staying on top of it. I've checked periodically myself. It's nice to finally see it declared official.

While it just got certified I believe it qualified as Platinum long ago (didn't Haley mention something once at a concert?). Glad to see it is finally official.
When the record was certified gold, in February 2017, the number of Spotify streams was at about 35 million. Currently there are 184 million plays on Spotify in addition to the many millions of plays on YT and other music streaming services. Once she got to gold, an additional 75 million total streams in the Unitied States would get the record to platinum (150 streams = one unit sale).

I've been checking to keep the Wikipedia up to date when it happens. She had mentioned it in a few interviews/articles, and a few articles had referred to her as "Platinum" recording artist but I could never use any of those sources because it hadn't come from RIAA officially until now.

Yeah, I try hard to use solid references but there's some things that I think are really important to include that just don't have coverage in reputable articles/news sources. In a few cases I've resorted to using MJ's Big Blog and even HF/HRN.

Haley also mentioned that it "just went platinum" in that Jimmy Kimmel bit, but I don't think that qualifies as a "solid reference" XD
