Haley and Casey recording a demo? - Miguel - 09-14-2011

Yesterday, figure8 noted on IF that a musician from New Orleans with a jazz background had tweeted from League City, TX:

Those are tweets directed to Haley and Casey. They indicate they performed somewhere yesterday. No other references can be found to said performance, leading to the conclusion it may have been a studio session. League City is not far from Houston. In late July, Haley and Casey's friend -- Julie Zorrilla -- was in Houston at a recording studio.

Now consider on 8/18/11 what Haley told the Daily Herald:

Quote:I have lyrics and melodies for songs I've written years ago, and those are complete. I just don't have the chords behind it, the instrumentation. Casey has helped me out with a few of them. We'll see if they make it on the album. I really hope they do.

Having just spent months on the road and about to head overseas, they would have to be extremely motivated by something to not spend their limited downtime with their families.

I think it's possible they booked time at the same studio as Julie did to lay down some demo tracks to present to Interscope for inclusion on Haley's album.
