Rachel Crow eliminated on X-Factor - Miguel - 12-08-2011 This is the singing competition to watch if you're a sadist. Astro and Drew's reaction to their possible elimination/elimination were emotional, but the elimination of Rachel Crow was even more dramatic. She and Marcus Canty had to both sing for their life. Nicole couldn't choose between them so she voted for Rachel to go home, sending the judges' vote to "deadlock" -- that meant America's vote would decide the winner. Marcus had been in the bottom at least twice before, so Rachel appeared very confident about her chances while he seemed resigned to his fate. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Rachel Crow eliminated on X-Factor - john - 12-09-2011 X-Factor seems to be turning into a strange mish-mash of tacky productions, over the top histrionics on the part of contestants and certain judges, an Aspergian host (no offense intended), and nasty Survivor-like dynamic among the judges using contestants as proxies. From the beginning I've thought Josh and Melanie are the best singers but I've not been much impressed with the song choices or performances of either the past two weeks. I'm beginning to think that Rachel might end up being the most successful contestant post-X. But what do I know, I don't actually watch the show. Rumor is Disney has already approached her. I haven't watched much more than a minute of her performances but caught a TV news interview with her today. She is very well-spoken for a young girl. I know Melanie and Josh are good singers, but Rachel seems to have more of an "X-Factor" than them. I caught the bit the other day where they told the contestants they needed to pick a song to perform the next day. The contestants were all in one room and dressed casually. After observing that, I commented to a friend we could rule out "good looks" as the X-Factor. She has that perfect persona. Anyway, after tonight's show, I think it is between Melanie and Josh, with Melanie being the favorite. Although, Chris could sneak into the finals too, but he is not as good of a singer as the other two. In fact it looks to me like this: Melanie Amaro Josh Krajcik Chris Rene Marcus Canty RE: Rachel Crow eliminated on X-Factor - john - 12-15-2011 (12-15-2011, 01:40 AM)John Brown Wrote: In fact it looks to me like this: That's how I see it. I think it's a wrap for Melanie. RE: Rachel Crow eliminated on X-Factor - Satchvai - 12-15-2011 Singing doesn't matter on this show so I say Chris walks away with 5 Million bucks. Should make great Reality TV in a couple years when he does that Rehab show. I fear that you are probably correct. However, given the winners of AI the last two years, the same (singing doesn't matter) could be said of Idol. RE: Rachel Crow eliminated on X-Factor - Miguel - 12-15-2011 Comment on MJsBB site: Quote:OMG I am bursting my sides laughing at all your comments. You Americans crack me up. Loveable cockroaches that say Homie. Where do you come up with this stuff. Anyway, I like this site. People have good insight. Not swayed one way or the other. Or blinded by the judges. No doubt about it Melanie was on fire last night. But I just cant warm to her, she is just not different enough. The girl who came (in) third on A.I. is much better... Although Melanie Amaro has a great voice and can really sing, she is still not as good a singer as Haley and she is no way on the same level of performer that Haley is. Indeed, she is more or less just a one dimensional diva that can sing behind a mike only. In my opinion, with the group numbers and the duets, AI is just a much better venue and overall show. Here's who I would like to see on AI this upcoming season: However, they were discovered and signed by Ellen Degeneres and 19 Entertainment already. Too bad.
