Casey James To Release Debut Album - John Brown - 01-21-2012
Casey James AI Season 9 third place finisher and my favorite contestent is set to release his debut Album 3/20/2012.
Brian Mansfield reveals the tracklisting and credits for Casey James’s self-titled debut album due 3/20. Casey co-produced his debut album with Chris Lindsey with fellow songwriter Aimee Mayo co-producing the album’s final song. Casey James cowrote 9 out of the 11 songs on the album.

Casey plays electric and acoustic guitar throughout his album, which features lots of the slide playing that his fans had been hoping for. Pat Buchanan, Ilya Toshinsky and B. James Lowry also played guitar on the album, with Dan Dugmore playing pedal steel.

Casey is hands down by far the best guitar player to ever grace the American Idol stage. This cut that will be featured on his debut album demonstrates just how good of a guitar player he is:

Indeed, I don't know what the deal is...maybe I'm a jinx, but it seems like all my favorite contestants finish third for some reason. Anyway, when all is said and done, I bet Casey James more than doubles the record sales of the two contestants that finished ahead of him

After a friend raved about Adam Lambert, I tuned in the following season to watch some American Idol. I wasn't too heavily invested in it, but Casey was my favorite performer. I think I lost interest in it at some point but I do recall seeing Casey's hometown visit and none of the others (possibly because it was in the DFW area where I live).
I think I favor male vocalists fronting bands and female performers as solo artists.
