I first noticed this company the other day when they re-tweeted something Haley had tweeted:

I looked for a connection, but didn't find one. Last night they tweeted:

If you look at their website, http://www.majorlyindie.com/ , you'll see it appears they represent songwriters, so this is a deal related to Haley's songwriting credits.

It appears to be an unusual choice in that if you look at their roster of "active songwriters" and "legacy songwriters" you won't see many names you know. Likely because most are songwriters, not performers, and many are Canadian and/or create country-music songs.

I'm really glad to see that Haley's getting her copyright "rights" in order. Copyright laws are vast, complex, and confusing for anyone but a lawyer. I give you an example of something I learned last fall in little class for my office.

Someone records some street entertainers performing their original works. Who owns the copyright?
