"Haley Reinhart already debuted her first single “Free” live last week (the song will be officially released on March 20, and she will perform it live on Idol on March 22), but over the weekend, Ms. Reinhart served up a truly gorgeous cover of “Wild Horses” with Slash and Myles Kennedy at Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday celebration:"
"Fellow Season 10 alum Paul McDonald played a few catchy new tunes in L.A., including one called “Dollar Sign,” which took a jab at the music industry and Idol‘s management company 19 Entertainment. (“You can kiss my ass, 19.”) He also sang a duet with wife Nikki Reed."

I love Paul McDonald's cool personality and I love his gleaming white teeth, but I must confess that I could never take his voice. Although he sounded pretty good when he sang his part in “Forget You” during the tour.

his duet with his wife, "now that i've found you", is pretty good.

I was never a fan of Paul's voice on AI -- I thought he was a fish out of water. He is much better as a singer-song writer. This is pretty good, as is that song he sang on the steps with Kendra. I think having female accompaniment helps him a lot.

You're right-- Paul was definitely a a fish out of water on AI. I liked the song he sang with Kendra ("Like You Loved Me Then"??) much more than this. To me, "Now that I've Found You" is insipid -- which is why it will probably become a megahit.

At the same Hotel Cafe club Haley played last night, Paul McDonald & his wife sang there in February of this year.

They performed last night on Craig Ferguson
Nikki needed her mic turned up, or to sing closer to the mic, you can barely hear her in most of the song

Yahoo Music article back in November by Lyndsey Parker:

It has 3 duets of Paul and Nikki singing together. I really enjoyed the songs and their voices together. It reminded me of maybe Paul's best performance on Idol, which was a duet with Kendra singing Blackbird.
Also, I loved the video interview in this article with Nikki and Paul. They really have a great chemistry together. They explain how they met during Season 10 of Idol and how they dated while he was in the mansion under curfew. This is one of the great outcomes of Season 10...Paul and Nikki.
I hope Haley is still hanging out with them...Nikki references in the interview that she was not very confident in her voice, she said she couldn't do all the vocal gymnastics...thought she might be thinking of someone we all know...
Anyway, be sure and listen to "All I'm Asking"...very, very nice. Talk about a retro sound, they could have come right out of the 60s.
