Should Haley cover an Amy Winehouse tune on her first album? - Miguel - 07-23-2011
Haley previously named Amy Winehouse as one of the female artists that had an influence on her musical development. Winehouse's first album was heavily jazz influenced.
Here's an example:
Should Haley cover one of the tunes? Would that expose her to a potential audience for her music? Would they see it as a sign of respect or tacky coming on the heels of Amy's death?

Maybe sometime in the distant future, but not now. Not a good idea. People might think she was trying to cash in on a tragedy. Her death is just too fresh in the minds of her fans. Not a good idea in my opinion.

Probably so. I think five years down the line people would be ready for it. Especially if Haley has made something of a name for herself by then.
I think she could do a lot with that song above.

Most of you probably already know this, but Haley did You Know I'm No Good in her yacht club set.
