Since the tour ended, I've spent a lot of time re-listening to Haley's Idol performances and more time than I should have reading comments made on her videos and in response to news articles about her Idol performances.

The good news is I've seen people who never watched her on American Idol profess their awe over her voice. On the other hand, I've seen a lot of ugly comments about Haley's voice and personality (typically from Idol viewers).

So the bad news is I think she can only win over 80% of the world.

For once, I'm in the majority on something!!! But I'm as perplexed as you are. I've also watched her journey video over and over again, and I've yet to find an inkling of a bad attitude. If anything, she had one of the best attitudes of the group.

The bad attitude had a lot to do with the way the camera was focusing on her. The way they made it look like she was smiling when Pia got voated off. ECT.Ya know?,But i think it's all the hormonal teen. or tween girls that were just negitive or jealous with Haley.But all that crap is over she doesn't have answer to all the criticism of the show. So eather all the haters will be convinced Haley is the real deal, or they can wait for seasion 11 and find another contestant to bitch at or downgrade.

The other day I saw the most ridiculous comment. After I closed the window, I thought I should have saved to illustrate how absurd Haley's detractors are. But I can't recall the site name to retrieve it.

The comment was a lengthy paragraph that asserted Haley was boring as a performer because every Haley performance was the same. This person actually asserted that Haley deserved to lose because her three performances on the Top 3 show sounded alike.

Right, she was boring, that's why she made to third place. All these comments are ridiculous. At first I was very offended but now that's just the way it is. There's always going to be haters. None of them are politically correct, or should I say musically correct. But from what I have seen in her demonstrating her musical ability especially singing with Irving Mayfield she's the real deal. As time goes on and when she puts out her new album people will begin to realize that this girl can sing and she has a lot to offer especially when it comes to the music of the 40s. She starting to rejuvenate the jazz era. If you can find the ridiculous comments maybe we can post something back to them, better yet just let it be.

I think a lot of this is unfortunate fallout from the fact that AI is a competition. People choose their "team" and root for them, while often developing a strong dislike for certain other competitors. But I'm also struck by how often comments like "Haley! OMG..." expressing love appear far and wide (e.g. in the tour videos on group songs). I imagine for fans of other contestants those kinds of comments can rekindle the dislike, jealousy, or the like toward Haley.

Since she is not on AI detractors dont matter. Only fans, they will buy the music. If you dont like her then you dont buy the music ....
