I wonder if they didn't give him a shot. It would make sense because Haley's father could have played the guitar while John Notto rapped. Maybe they did and he couldn't carry it off.

Breezy played with another band at Lolla. I feel confident he could have done it. That could have been the plan before he left. Hard to say without knowing the circumstances. Maybe that's a lunch topic for Fun Law.

The Season 10 alum shows off her rapping skills for her debut as the first American Idol finalist to perform at the famed rock festival.

Reinhart revealed that, "Oh, My!" is slated to be her next single, and she already has a treatment in mind for the video.

"I'm already jotting down ideas for that video. I've been doing it since day one so I'm really excited to film that one," she said. "I want it to be really, really kind of New Orleans authentic vibing crazy cool party club. Something crazy cool."

Haley Reinhart Raps At Lollapalooza (VIDEO) (UPDATED)

Haley Reinhart can not only phrase a jazz or blues song exquisitely, but she can rap too! The Season 10 Idol alum performed a set at the famed alt-rock festival, Lollapalooza in Chicago yesterday afternoon.

B.o.B couldn’t appear to perform the rap he recorded for “Oh My!”, so Haley did it herself! She also announced to the crowd that she hopes the tune will be her next single. It was a family affair at Lollapalooza: Haley’s mom and sister assisted on backup vocals, and her dad played guitar.

“I was just like, ‘Oh, I think I got it.’ I did it a couple of times. I listened to it enough that I knew it, and my adrenaline was skyrocketing,” Haley told MTV about trying out her rapping skills. “So it came kind of naturally.”

The set list also included “Free”, “Wasted Tears”, “Hit The Ground Running”, “Walking on Heaven”, “Spiderweb”, “Keep Coming Back”, and “House of The Rising Sun.”

Hi everyone! Im new here to this forum. I had to join after being with Tusk and Himm yesterday at Haley palooza in beautiful downtown Chicago. (Tusk was copying all my comments from another forum and pasting em here anyway hehe)
And what a day we had!! Haley was in her prime and havin a great ol time up there on that stage!! I love her banter between songs. It just brings a smile to your face. She is just so genuine. And her trademark "arm swing" was in full view for this show.

I think Haley should just make up her own rap for this song - she could make a few...maybe change it up often depending on her mood.

When she raps, it should be from the female perspective. It would make the song more cohesive than the original. The rapid-fire pace of rapping could be used to convey excitement. Something like "Now that you're here" in rap form.

Exactly - I was thinking something with attitude from her own perspective. She could change it up over the years when she performs.
