"Ms. Alaina was the most versatile performer on this season of 'Idol'"
Wrong.
From the NYT review of Scotty and Lauren's ablums: Quote:This choice, though, means that the energy of this album sometimes outpaces (Scotty), who’s best when he’s deliberate, and whose voice isn’t as robust as it could be on these songs.
That’s less of a problem for Ms. Alaina on “Wildflower.” She’s a more powerful singer than Mr. McCreery; there’s nothing on his album like the vocal bombast of her single, “Like My Mother Does.” And even though she’s now been honed down to a country singer, Ms. Alaina was the most versatile performer on this season of “Idol,” and the most evocative.

RE: "Ms. Alaina was the most versatile performer on this season of 'Idol'"
I came across this yesterday on EW.com's PopWatch:
Quote: Considering the many missteps both Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart have taken throughout the season (see: Casey’s off-putting “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and Haley’s wobbly “Blue“), it was quite a delight to see the contestants duet to the jazzy “Moanin’” during last night’s results show.

The author apparently wasn't familiar with "Blue" or yodeling.
