Mr. T-Man, thanks for these finds. Since you seem to like "Great, Bright Morning," did you appreciate the little added touches he gave in this rendition?
Cherelann, I agree that Casey seems to be fully present when he's making music -- or, at least, now that he's out of the pressure cooker of the Idol machine. And what a "music maker" he is. I've always thought the song "L.O.V.E." to be a silly thing, but Casey's rendition here is just a delight! He demonstrates his jazz chops, he didn't constrict his throat, so his singing is a much better than it is when he's trying affects such as grunting or growling. And, then, at the end, when he does the little "cantina?" riff from Stars Wars. How fun!
Stuff like that makes me a little wistful and miss (a bit) being actively involved in making music.
