Cross-polination -- Popular songs by Idols used on other talent shows?

Not sure which thread to make this comment in, so I'm going with this one. After reading the X Factor Season Two thread (here), I wonder how long it will be before we hear someone singing ["Undone"] as his/her (most likely her) audition song for one of the various vocal "talent" reality shows that are currently in such abundance?

It's certainly a possibility that a contestant would choose "Undone." If it was televised that would be good publicity for the song (though there's a 50/50 chance they use the wrong lyrics). I wonder if X-Factor or The Voice would be on board with that.

These aren't audition songs.. though

I didn’t list all the performers of the songs.. you can click through.. unless I come back to it later and edit it… they might have got credit where they didn’t deserve too

But Kelly Clarkson songs have had 6 performances 2 of "breakaway , 1 each of Because of you, Since you've been gone, Stronger, and Walk away. (i edited out Up to the Mountain which isn't her song at all)

We're curious whether competing shows try to squelch performances of songs popularized by former American Idol contestants. Can someone sing "I'm on a Roll" for their X-Factor audition and expect to have it televised tonight?

Sorry that I didn't see that part , I'd imagine it wouldn't be their first choice.

Some of these things are relationship driven though... it would have more to do with what the producer of The voice or x factor wanted and their relationship wiht 19 enterainment or recording label Interscope (and the huge parent and sister companies like A&M and geffen etc) I'd think. Favors are traded etc.

Ok this is very little research but I did find one in a quick google and related wikipedia surfing

Yes. The answer is Yes. Just last night on the Voice......

2Steel Girls - This mother/daughter country duo, who warbled "Idol" sweetheart Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats," were a mixed bag. I thought the mom (either Allison or Krystal, I get them mixed up) was much better than her daughter, and I wondered if there'd be some drama when the coaches suggested that Mommy ditch her kid and go solo. But of course, "The Voice" is not that sort of show, so it was one big family-style lovefest instead. Interestingly, Cee Lo wanted the Steels, but of course they decided to go with Blake Shelton. I still think Blake should consider ordering Mom to go solo, but I know he's way too nice a guy to ever do that.
