RE: Nominate Haley for People's Choice Awards (artist, song, album)
Cool beans!! I've voted too.
As an aside, although it's probably too late for any Haliens on the East Coast to see this (due to power outages because of Sandy), I hope you are all tucked away in a safe, dry, warm place and stay that way!

RE: Nominate Haley for People's Choice Awards (artist, song, album)
^^^Midnight, your memory is correct. Hurricane Irene did hit the East Coast last year - a bit earlier than Sandy (and, lest we forget "officially" Sandy's not a hurricane, but a convergence of a bunch of nasty weather patterns that is producing a colossal amount of destruction). And, like you, MNB, I'm also surprised that the northern part of the East Coast has had back to back destructive storms. That not something that I remember happening before (although it may have and I wasn't paying attention). In checking in to CNN this morning, it must have been a hellacious night for those living in the affected states -- and it's not over yet. Best wishes to all there for the next few days, weeks, months ..
However, I need to vote again...

I voted away during the high winds and rain throughout the night. It kept my mind off the noise outside my windows and the creaking of our house. Can't complain, though, after watching the devastation unfold on the east coast.
