My bad for my memory but wasn't it last year they had hurricane Irene that hammered the East Coast? when season 10 toured .Chronologically I think I'm right. A lot of the times the Gulf of Mexico from Galveston to New Orleans and in between this time of year wrecks havoc. Safe wishes stay warm and dry and a prayer for all the East Coast people Vote as much as ya want on the Peoples choice award.

^^^Midnight, your memory is correct. Hurricane Irene did hit the East Coast last year - a bit earlier than Sandy (and, lest we forget "officially" Sandy's not a hurricane, but a convergence of a bunch of nasty weather patterns that is producing a colossal amount of destruction). And, like you, MNB, I'm also surprised that the northern part of the East Coast has had back to back destructive storms. That not something that I remember happening before (although it may have and I wasn't paying attention). In checking in to CNN this morning, it must have been a hellacious night for those living in the affected states -- and it's not over yet. Best wishes to all there for the next few days, weeks, months ..

However, I need to vote again...
