It seems that if they look to be promoting something other than the songs on Listen Up!, it's tantamount to waving the white flag on it...

A song backed by Ole would not reflect Interscope's thinking.

Ole might want it to push for inclusion in a movie or something. They no doubt feel pretty good about Haley's marketability given how successful they have been marketing songs off her album to others. I could see them footing the bill for studio time if they thought they had a winner they could call their own.

PJ tweeted a link to an Ole newsletter that features Haley prominently.

According to Richardson, it was by far ole's best songcamp. "I think we are going to get very legitimate cuts soon on these songs."

I still expect them to release "Undone", but my bet she just recorded the bridge to "Oh My" for second single for iTunes.

that would be the only thing that makes sense. (As opposed to recording a whole brand new song that's not on her album to promote as a second single.... especially with all her unreleased songs still in the bank)

Too bad they can't just tell us what song was recorded... a new one or old one redone. Leaves us speculating for MONTHS before we find out whats goin on.....I wish everything wasn't always such a big secret.
Besides.. we can keep a secret .. right guys???

We need a good old rock and roll song! I was just listening to her, "What is and What should Never be" from AI. After switching between The Voice, and X Factor tonight, there are only a couple of singers that are good. After all, $5 million is a lot of money to give away for x factor. Haley could have blown em out of the water......

I have no inside information on the issue, but releasing a totally new song, that reaches hit proportions, will cause many to check out (and buy) the excellent tracks on Listen Up!, just like winning a grammy would. Plus, single releases are easier now in the digital age because the expense to press and ship one song versus an album was not good. They actually have a bigger markup for singles digitally now.

It is possible Haley has recorded more songs that we have not heard than those we have heard. A few were briefly and mistakenly released a few months ago. Perhaps something we haven't heard has been redone in a remarkable way; some songs are like that. Maybe something totally new.

I like epic and I love Haley.
Can't wait.
