Haley reportedly splits with Interscope

I think I saw her listed yesterday.

The White House/politicians/businesses often release bad news late on Friday because it's less likely to gain attention in the news cycle.

Interscope removed that today, yesterday checked and was definitely working.

Funny. Same day we get a hint about a new label.

The thought occurred to me this morning that it might have been Haley's people who leaked the news of her parting ways with Interscope and that they did so to publicize she was available.

The story originated with the LA Times so the source was probably located there. Might have been Haley's management. Or it could have been someone at a rival label that they approached. I don't think Interscope has anything to gain by publicizing the loss of one of their artists.

In any case, once they have a label that's interested it might take some time to hammer out the details. Haley's signing with Interscope wasn't confirmed until two months after the show ended.

I would think that it wouldn't be so much a matter of Interscope not having anything to gain by publicizing it but more a matter of it being standard practice to put out a press release when these things happen.The cat's been out of the bag for a couple of weeks.Doesn't it look sort of unprofessional to just say nothing?

On the other side of the coin maybe they have to hammer out details about future rights,obligations,etc.before they can say anything official.I don't know.

The interesting thing: The ending was obviously painful for Haliens; however, not once have we gotten a hint that it was painful for Haley. Himm2 sounds like once again you know something that you can’t share.
