I thought I might share a one fan perspective of Haley in Vegas from my vantage point here at the Buzz retreat center in beautiful Minnesota. This morning there is a light, powdery layer of snow on everything, giving a postcard like feel to the picturesque outdoors...the perfect setting for being indoors, where it is a balmy 68 degrees, while viewing all things Haley.
The coffee pot is working tirelessly providing my legal drug of choice for the early morning hours of what has been a marathon session of The Queen live from the Cosmo. The attire is casual, almost grunge like, here in front of the dual computer screens in what some might call an electronic command center on the verge of becoming hoarder like. I've got my noise cancelling headphones, wireless keyboard and mouse at the ready...and spare AA batteries.
HaleysTusk has produced 21+ videos of every Haley performance at the Cosmo...just think what he could have done if Haley had given him a hug and a kiss on the cheek! OMG...the guy would probably be dead right now from sheer exhaustion. If you have ever been at the airport in Vegas and looked around at the people waiting to fly home, many have that glazed, almost death-like look of "I've been awake for 72 hours".
I can confidently say that the 2012 Cammy (like a Grammy) for best videographer by a Halien goes to...envelope please...HaleysTusk!!!
The guy has outdone himself again. Instead of pushing Haley to "follow" people, my advice to her...Hug a Fan!
Nothing but the darkened sludge at the bottom of the coffee pot now, but the caffeine induced, creative thinking has really kicked into high gear. We will never tire of hearing another version of 'Moanin', 'God Bless The Child', 'House of the Rising Sun', or anything that is scat worthy to be sung by The Queen! I may have left one out, so feel free to fill in the blank ______________. The girl has the range, the chops, the pitch, the looks, the hair, the smile...and the shoes for it! More jazz & blues, more scat, more gigs like this...more everything!
Oh, and just an FYI...creative people that are over-thinkers (OCD) do not take creative assistance or suggestions for improvement very well. That being said, it would have been nice to have a shot of the room for the size and scope of the audience and area she was performing in.
I'll be cleaning up my mess here, don't worry...I know where everything is.
