Those are two crowd pleasers but it's a shame she didn't perform one of her own songs. "Walking on Heaven" might have been appropriate.

I think it's Halien 'wishful thinking' though. One thing I didn't post, because I can't be sure, JMO:

Even though the crowd grew from the beginning to the end of her sets until the big crowd at the end, might have been because the longer the show went, the more people collected around ther bar ....but I'm guessing, a MAJOR reason that she would end each night with people ringing around the bar is that she closed with those familiar songs.

We are used to her interpretations of BATJ and HOTRS, but the 'general public' is not. I think most of the people that watched at the end recognised the familiar lyrics and were intrigued by her versions of them so stopped to look. And we know how she is able to turn up the amperage on those songs (as well as in "Oh Darlin'").

We may have our Haley favorites, but she brings in the 'new' fans with her versions of those songs....

This was a captive audience at private event. I would like her to perform songs off her album so she can move beyond Idol.

Michael J. Fox rooted for her on Idol and so far as he knows, based on tonight's performance, she hasn't been doing much since.

If they paid her a good appearance fee and specifically requested those songs then I guess she can't do too much about it.
