One of today’s hottest superstars, Jennifer Lopez, is scheduled to perform at Celebrity Fight Night XIX on Sat., March 23, at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. The primary beneficiary is the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.

...A portion of the proceeds from the charity event will go to the Lopez Family Foundation. The organization is dedicated to improving the health and well being of children and women around the world.

...During the gala, Muhammad Ali will honor Lopez with a Celebrity Fight Night Award. The awards acknowledge leaders in the sports, business or entertainment community who have achieved extraordinary accomplishments and have been instrumental in giving back to charity – key qualities associated with the Champ.

Lopez joins Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers, Billy Crystal, Billy Ray Cyrus, Rita Wilson and Grammy® Award-winning leading lady of country music Reba McEntire at the star-studded gala. McEntire returns as the evening’s emcee for her eighth consecutive year. Also returning is 16-time Grammy® Award-winning songwriter and producer David Foster, who will serve as musical director for his 14th year.

Of interest among that list that stands out for me is, Rita Wilson. Yes, Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks' wife. The Tom Hanks who is often referred to as pulling for Haley during S10.

While having a lengthy, but not necessarily stand out acting career, and just as well known for being Hanks' wife than for her own acting resume, I have to wonder if Wilson's role is one of producing/organizing, maybe the MC....

And Hanks has had his hand in producing movies including one of my guilty pleasure favorites, "That Thing You Do"..... How nice if Haley bumps into her famous fan and they end up doing a movie similar to TTYD, except in the Jazz or Blues Genre, starring Haley? (I'd even accept a co-star )

She's got the chops to write/perform those kind of period songs...so, Mr Hanks, make it so

(There is precedence in a similar thing happening for Haley, ala Sheryl Crowe/Slash's Wife/ Haley,Slash,Myles performing at Ali's 70th Bday)

^^That would be cool. I remember Tom stating that he wasn't going to watch idol anymore after Haley was voted off. Didn't Haley meet Tom recently, I seem to recall a Haley tweet about that a while back.

I'm starting to think Ali must love Haley a lot too. They first met in Vegas week during Season 10, then Haley is on his 70th BD celebration, now she joins in again on another Ali event...Ali always appreciated excellence when he saw it.
