Two Haley songs cleared to sing on American Idol

I'm thrilled at how the Idol machine is very willing to invest in Haley Reinhart's promotion. It shows that they believe her awesome talents haven't gotten a fair shake and her superstar-power is still reachable with a little more support. As Steven Tyler would say to the girl in the maroon dress as she jumped for joy out of the door "Here's to lookin' up your new address"

Hoping my wife gets to stay in the hospital tonight so I can sneak out to see Midnight Trio at Tuscany tonight...even if it looks strange to see Captain Dinkens giving a Harry & Patti Yell without a date on Valentines Day!

The whole schedule gets thrown out the window when someone is in the hospital or recovering at home...if you wear the Captain Dinkens outfit tonight at Tuscany, no one will be creeped out...probably be the Valentine hit of the night...

Hi everybody. So 2 female contestants will be singing "Undone" on Idol tonight right? I don't know if anyone else likes doing this, but I like to watch Haley's singles/album climb the charts on itunes whenever she gets any significant media exposure... and this SHOULD be fairly significant. So when I looked about 5pm CST, here's what Haley has in itunes' Pop Chart's Top 1500.

I know we all have our complaints Interscope/19s promotion of "Listen Up" but overall I'd say Haley did the right thing by signing w/ Interscope even if it wasn't for a long period of time. I realize James is still w/ Wind Up, but try finding his album or any of the singles from it on the itunes charts... Anywhere!?! Even though a SINGLE on the rock chart doesn't have to be selling nearly as well to stay in the top 1500 as a single on the pop chart.

Oh My - #1419 It's been in the top 1500 since the Valentine's Day video came out.

Undone - #1339 Hasn't left the top 1500 since "Step Up Revolution" was released to DVD. It was up around #300 (on Pop) the first couple of weeks after the DVD came out.

How big this spike will be for "Undone" will depend on a lot of things. It may only be a moderate one (this far down on the chart, that'll still be a few 100 spots) if the performances aren't that notable & only glimpses of them are shown. However, if one of the contestants, singing Undone, "has a moment"... like Didi Benami did when she sang Katherine McVie's "Terrified" for example, then we could be looking at "Undone" spiking huge.

Spoilers say only one of the two who sing "Undone" advance. Curious to see what, if anything, Idol shows and how it's presented. Would love a Haley name-check in addition to a longer performance of the song.

Don't know bout V.daybeing a good day for un done to take off,IMO regardless, anyday is a good day for UN-done to come blasting into the charts And if it does take of just a little exposure can put the wind back into the sails of Listen Up. My name is Midnight, and I approve this post

Well that was definitely a let down. Kind of a mediocre performance that didn't capture much of the beauty of the original on top of the points you mentioned, Miguel. It was OK just not that great. Not sure if that's going to spark too many people's interest who don't already know the song. I should've mentioned that any bump "Undone" gets from this will probably peak at least 6 hours from now & maybe even tomorrow afternoon. I think it'll be minimal though.

Undone's at #1299 @ 8:30pm CST. That's nothing yet though. It's been floating around between about 1200-1500 just naturally lately.

On the other hand, Grace Potter's "Stars", & Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" will see more significant boosts to their current spots on the charts.
