My favorite is Candice. She's got that sass and soul in her voice!
# 2 is Janelle.
#3 is Angie Miller. Angie has a beautiful voice, and I loved her hair and makeup tonight, but there is just something about her (sorry Himm) that I cant connect with. It's stopping me from putting her on top.

Of the guys I agree that Devin and Burnell were the best.

Ohhh I forgot about Kree. She's good too, but I stick with Candice and Janelle
for my top 2 tonight!

Watching over at Mjs, Haven't seen Candice's, but IMO Amber did the best with the riskiest song choice. I thought she had the best cover of the night,and liked some of the choices she made that made it just a little more her own.

I've been wanting to root for Kree, but she's not compelling enough, nor Angela or Candice, for me. Amber's performance tonight makes me think I could like her above the rest.

Tusk, Candice's is up now (I'm watching there too).

I'd agree with you about Amber, which is not to say that Angie or Kree didn't do well. Usually, I find myself gravitating to songs that aren't as popular (the "overkill" factor hits me a great deal sooner than it does for most people, I think). So, while "She's Leaving Home" wasn't necessarily my first or second most favorite Beatles' song (yes, Keith, I'm looking at you ), it's probably in my top 10. I've always loved the sorta sad, haunting, wistfulness of that melody. And for a young girl/woman who didn't know that song, Amber did a wonderful job! She has such extraordinary potential, that I really hope MJ's prediction is wrong.

And, well, Candice rocked it!!! And, as a poster on MJ's blog said, "holy lower register, Candice! Ha!!

I thought it was another strong performance from Candice and Kree was pretty good but outside of that-for me- it was like a snoozefest.Some of the kids-maybe most of them- weren't familiar with the songs-and it showed.

Keeping Lazaro onboard is like having fan voting forcing Jerry Springer to keep Dancing with the Stars. Please America, put him out of his misery of having to face the judges and make him Jolley again.

I agree, Himm. I blame the judges for this fiasco. They should have eliminated him before the audience vote took over. Now, it's turning into young girls voting him through because he is cute along with his stuttering story. I do commend him for his bravery, but this is supposed to be a singing competition, and frankly, he is not a singer.
Because of him remaining, they let a few more talented singers go.
Casey was great and fun to watch...I loved his take on that song.
Jessica got some major air time, but her song was another forgetable lame pop song like everything else out there.
I know she finished 2nd and Haley 3rd, but I think they could have done a much better job on Haley's alum return to Idol on Season 11.
They really gave her little time, I thought.

Very pretty performance of "Here There and Everywhere" by the gals. Kree and Candice sounded especially good.

Getting harder to ignore my annoyance that Lazaro might last two, maybe three more weeks, if not more

I know that many of you don't like Lazaro, but I feel a connection with him! I too have had a slight speech problem since I was little, but mine has gotten much better. So I understand how he feels and I give him alot of credit for going on Idol. And I felt sorry for him last night when the judges made him cry .

I understand your empathy, but I would feel worse for better talent that got eliminated because someone beat them not on talent, but how much sympathy he can gain.

Also, it would encourage future contestants to compete on back story as well, make their story as 'heart tugging' as possible. IMO it was the OTT emphasis on back story that made XFactor unbearable to watch as a talent competition

Also, Jimmy called him out for lying. Lazaro said he only learned the song the day before as an excuse for his poor performance, when Jimmy was working with him on the studio days before. Lazaro never denied or cleared up Jimmy's claim.... What are we supposed to think of that? Makes me think that Lazaro may not be genuine
