Eating durian must be a sort of right of passage when westerners visit asian countries for the first time. When I visited Vietnam, I went through a similar thing, people watching my reaction to tasting the fruit...it's not bad tasting, it's the smell that can be off putting..odd texture too

The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust, and has been described variously as almonds, rotten onions, turpentine, raw sewage, and smelly socks

She's very charming in that video, eating the fruit, Im not surprised they were enraptured by her

She must be having the time of her life! Minimal pressures for record sales and disputes with Interscope big-wigs. Being treated like royalty as the Queen of Southeast Asia! Sure beats going to class at Harper College and nobody recognizes you.
