A brief review from one of the Bee Publika gig attendees
The Haley Reinhart experience (allustrates.blogspot.com)
Quote:To be honest, I don't even watch American Idol let alone know who Haley Reinhart is but a really good friend of mine whom is affiliated with a renowned media corporation gave me tickets to Haley Reinhart's private showcase held at The Bee, Publika and I thought it wouldn't hurt to enjoy some good music on a Thursday night with really good company.
Some mates and I were greeted at the door with this signed postcard from Haley which I thought was a really cool novelty to bring home but little did we know much more awaits us once we were inside.
A really friendly waitress offered us some drinks which she assured us were Mocktails (; and then later we were told there'd be finger food going around. We found a comfortable spot near the stage and minutes later was served with delicious chicken pockets, fish fillet bites, lamb skewers, shrimp on a stick and to top it all off mini chocolate brownies for dessert.
With nothing but the strums and strings of a guitar, she illuminated the room with her voice. It sent chills down my spine as she opened with a track from her latest album Listen Up. Her voice is pretty unique - a crossbreed between Duffy and Amy Winehouse me thinks. That's right, it's pretty raspy.
Overall, i'd say it was a pretty intimate scene that night. Fans got to ask her a few questions and she got to interact with us with pictures and shared her thoughts about AI and her experience in KL thus far. I would definitely give her album a go after this.
Major thanks to my dear friend Caryn K. for this lovely invite and StarWorld & Fox Channel for making it happen.
PS: Haley and I brushed arms accidentally while taking the picture and she stopped to say "oh hello". Oh my god I'm never washing that shirt.

Haley doesn’t even know I exist, but I feel she is teasing me with snippets of her incredible renditions of covers I love. In this case “Dream a Little Dream of Me”. OMG, Haley is so good.

That's why, if I won the Powerball lottery, I'd spend a million dollars backing her.
I dont know about a million dollars but I do know that others have tried to offer financial support (I would guess less than 1 mil...but fairly significant, in the 10s of thousands...only a guess, mind you...), but indications are her people have not accepted for reasons that they can only say.
(Probably contract/business related)
IMO, I suppose if I were in that position, accepting financial assistance from those I don't know, you need to be wary of the strings that might be attached and chose to move forward on your own resources.
Haley's career is moving forward, helped by Fox's willingness to use her as their ambassador. She gets paid, gets to travel, experience new lands and people, gaining valuable performance and networking experience using one of her greatest attributes besides her voice, her personality and charisma 
She owes no one this way, while gaining experience that will help her career into the future.
As fans, we help her out more by keeping up the buzz, showing support (which she obviously appreciates from her tweets). This blog and all the little things we as fans do, IMO, is as helpful as donations of cash. She is a creature of empathy and fully appreciates the love and support sent her way. We help fuel her emotionally if not financially
