I thought it might be worthwhile to have a designated thread to keep up w/ some of the things happening w/ some of the artists who work & associate w/ Haley...

....As well as one where we can talk about how closely connected Haley might be to various other artists. I'm not really suggesting we play the "6 degrees to Bacon" game though, just thought was a cool name for a thread that talks about other artists Haley has connections w/.

EDIT: I've noticed that quite often groups of musicians, who all know each other, will break through around the same time. One will get to a certain level, they'll help the other bands/artists they associate w/, another will get even bigger, which helps the others etc.,

I know we've posted a bunch of stuff about Skyler Stonestreet on Haley's bluesier album thread, but I'm going to start posting stuff about her here unless it's something directly related to Haley.

Skyler recently tweeted a new single from her "OneTwo" collaborations w/ Jeremy Silver. Here's their new single it's called "Sleep Talk"




They have 8 songs on their channel. This one appeared on Grey's Anatomy last fall. This is a pretty gorgeous ballad.

Yep John they would. I took that off because I didn't think people would be all that interested in the Kevin Bacon game. (if you guys are that's cool too, though) I mainly just thought It'd be a good place to post stuff that the people around Haley are doing, when it's not directly related to Haley.

Sara Skinner - TBH I don't know what the exact connection is between Haley & Sara other than she posted a really popular cover of Undone on youtube and is a self-proclaimed Haleyfan. Also when her name popped up on the scrolley thing before Haley's first StageIt show, all of the messages were suddenly aimed towards Sara. Anyway, she's in LA, so my guess is she's at least met Haley. You guys probably know more than me.

She released a single called "Break" a few months back, & I don't think I've seen it posted here though. I've it's been gradually climbing up on the itunes Alt.Rock chart. It was at about #600 when I last looked. That's not a huge deal, but it's pretty good for an unsigned artist.

Since we haven't actually seen an ALS Ice Bucket video from Haley, lets just see if this trail of ice buckets leads to Haley.

On Saturday Camilla Belle took the ALS Awareness Ice Bucket Challenge.

Edit: Just noticed in the comments that Chiara said she can't do it in 24 hours, so she'll donate. Maybe it'll still work it's way back to Haley via Brandon, but Chiara would've been far more likely.

Oh OK. I've seen tweets from people wanting to see her do this, but I didn't realize she had already. So she did it but didn't post a video I guess. That's too bad, cause most of the ones I've seen are highly entertaining.

Mary Lambert worked with MoZella. (She has writing credits on "Undone," "Oh My" and "Get Yourself Together." And funny enough, B.o.B. is on a version of the song too..)

Mary's got a special place in my heart, because she's the only new artist I like that I hear regularly on the radio. It's not my favorite song of hers, nor is it her best. (I'm actually not sure why Capital is having people write with her. Her genius is song writing.) But I think it's an adorable song, and I can even hear the MoZella influence.

BTW: If you get a chance too, see her live. She's amazing. You could cry though.

So Mary Lambert would be 2 degrees of Reinhart. That's the 2nd song of Mary's I've heard. The 1st was She Keeps Me Warm, after Kat Robishaud covered her during The Voice S5. I kind of like Mary. She's a little different than the main styles I'm into though.

What you just did there was what I had in mind when originally started this thread. I thought it'd be interesting to see how closely Haley was connected to various artists & possibly get a better idea of different musical circles within the industry, & kind of where Haley fit into all of that.

I put ZZ's icebucket's here yesterday because it generally fits in w/ the theme. Mostly though because I wanted people to see it if it did in fact lead to Haley. (Thought it might be the one time I caught the Haley scoop before anyone else), but I knew there was a good chance I'd be wrong (which I was), so I just put it on an old dead thread that I'd started, cause I didn't want to mess up any of the main threads.
