There must be all kinds of things going on behind the scenes. I'm just glad that so much seems to be bubbling just below the surface. I'm sure Haley is talking with all sorts of people and things are moving in a positive direction. I'm content to see what happens when it happens since I'm hoping Haley will have a long and fruitful career.

This doesn't even get into the grammatical and spelling errors, as well as the over/mis use of capitals (he also didn't capitalize 'dolly')....

To me it smacks of a hustle. Like some modeling agencies, outfits that promote your inventions, art schools that have you draw a picture that they will evaluate.... Ultimately, they want some money from you to do whatever they do.

I'm not so sure. His replies to her were a month apart. I also saw he was following a guy, who thanked him for his comment and subscribing. The comment was 8 months old but I dug it up and it simply said, "Perfect. I'm speechless." The guy was an opera singer. And the video is still racking up comments, so others were impressed also. I know in about 5 instances he suggested people send their demo tape to Sidewalk Records. but that kind of leads to John's point, knows and is traced to enough to be 'dangerous' as possibly legitimate....

This could be sort of like the "catfishing" phenomena, folks who enjoy being someone else, playing an online role....

I think I would have heard something if a label signing was eminent as info tends to be spilled with a "don't say anything" attached and that hasn't happened.

I'm just going to say this.. I trust that Haley will make the best decision for herself when it comes to the label she ends up signing w/, but this rumor that Haley signed w/ Compass Records didn't make me think "Omg I'm just so relieved Haley signed w/ a label". I'd be shocked if there weren't a lot of indie labels who'd sign her.

My first thoughts were that she must've had reasons for signing w/ them. I wonder what they were. And then I wondered if this is true, how pissed Hales was going to be at this recording studio guy for stealing her thunder & leaking this... Wascawy Wabbit!!
