I have no will power apparently & spend tonight getting acquainted with my new camera for tomorrow night

Not upper high end, but should be much better than the old one (I hope)

Ahh, Tusk, do remember that "sleep is your friend" and don't spend the entire night "getting acquainted" with the new camera. You went into the last Vegas gig sans sleep, and you did it again last weekend. Do remember what a "self absorbed" group we are, and we need you to be alert -- at least alert enough to be able to direct the "newbies" who will be there.

And, while I am kidding about our "self-absorbed Halien needs", (which are actually largely nothing but willful desires). I do hope you will: a.) find time for some rest; and b.) get great fun out of your new "toy."

As you know, we will be anxiously awaiting the results/uploads from Vegas! Bon Vegas!

And so the time is nigh for the start of Las Vegas adventures. Weeks of waiting, some of it anxious and questioning, most of it exciting, fun and heart thumping, comes to fruition in a matter of hours. My mind flirts with dancing images of dazzling lights and smooth alcoholic nerve soothers, of magical musical moments and the joy of friends rejoined in common purpose.

What new experiences will this weekend hold? What never before heard Haley gems will be poured into our awaiting ears? Will Haley ever cover Different Drum? How will I ever get to sleep tonight? The adventure awaits, and only Momma Time stands between me and and an all new, all different, all exciting Haley Adventure. I await with bated breath and a beating heart.

MAE I've noticed after CityWalk, that the Haliens have been mobilized, so the pressure is not so much. I think there will be plenty of vids coming in before I can put anything I get up, just like in LA.

After reading the booklet, I've realized that, unless these are point and shoots, there is more involved than just pressing record, so maybe taking turns might take more coordination than just passing a camera around, depending on the camera...
Apparently, zooming is discouraged with the camera I bought, so I should probably take it out for a test run since I will also have to figure how to film in low light as well. In case I can't figure it out enough, I brought my old cam, just in case

We shall see what comes of it tomorrow.

FYI I brought the CityWalk Ts to give to Yanni, Bluesman, Greg and Mona I meant to give in LA. I ended up giving more away than I intended, so promised to pass them on in Vegas. One for you and Pat too, Swan

So, my plans have fallen together and I will be there for tomorrow night!!

Will be leaving tomorrow sometime around 9am ish...4 hour drive. Got a room at the Cosmo for cheap with my friend because her sister works at the Marriott (who owns the Cosmo, I had no idea) and we got a room for $105 which we are splitting the cost.

Then I will be leaving Friday morning, so we can be back at work by 3:30pm. I wish I could stay for all 3 nights, but I am so excited that I'm even going to be there for just one!

For those who went last time, is there anything I should know? Like exactly where it is? What time I should get there? Are there any camera restrictions? Please let me know.

Short spontaneous trip but for Haley, it is worth it.

Thursday's show begins @ 8, they don't serve food @ the bar. If I remember right, you just go in the front, head past check in, and go straight ahead. Seating is limited, couches and small tables...
Not much else I can think of ATM

Camera restrictions, I had a small camcorder, no one bothered me. Greg told me they didn't like his camera, but it was probably because he had a large lens on it (not sure if they'll care about mine or Tim's or Bluesman's. Theirs may be too big, my new one is a smaller SLR, so I might be OK)
