What a night. I sit here now in the morning's bright light and it all seems like a dream. It was a night of good companionship, and fun and the sweet, wonderful magic of great music. As I thought, Haley's trio has begun to truly gel, and the difference between Thursday's show and last night's was night and day (excuse the pun).

The feeling onstage was more relaxed, smoother and so much less choppy feeling. It is amazing the difference a night's sleep and some time to work things out can make. I still didn't have to fight back the urge to get up and dance, but the feeling
was there and, who knows, maybe tonight I'll get off my butt and boogie a bit (maybe).
On a non-musical note, one of my favorite moments from last night happened between sets as I attempted to take a picture of Haley and her boys. I asked if they would stay together for me to take a shot and I noticed Haley was holding her own camera in her hand. She actually wanted to take a picture of Pat and me! I couldn't believe it and was more than to happy to ham it us and pose with Patty for our Hales. Think about it. I now exist within the memory of Haley's phone and am now stored electronically in her possession. What a great feeling that Haley actually wanted to make of record of two of her fans. Epic.
Another cool moment was while Haley was onstage and beginning the show. She said to the audience how she feels the love and, gesturing in the general area where we Haliens were sitting said, "especially around here." I know it made me feel great and was yet another example of Haley's graciousness.
Of course, a HUGE highlight from the night was Keith's congratulatory toast that Tusk pulled together. Keith joined our party and Pat got him a drink (Red Bull and cranberry juice). Once Haley and Chiara finished up with fans they came over and joined us as well. With Haley and Keith as the focal point we all filled the couches in a semi-circle around them and we all hung out and chatted. We also did a mass toast in Keith's honor with glasses clinking furiously (I randomly grabbed a water bottle off the table in front of me so I could join in). Tusk took a group shot from the stage and then joined us and had Chiara take a shot so he could be in the picture too. Ha, it was funny when Chiara had technical difficulties with Tusk's camera and had to try several times.
It was so fun sitting there with Haley and the other Haliens as we took turns talking to Haley and taking pictures of her with different individuals. I eventually worked my way to the seat next to Haley and spent a brief moment enjoying the feeling of her body heat radiating into my skin. She allowed me yet another pose with her yet another pic and I had to say to her, "Haley, thank you for being so patient with us crazy people." Ever the gracious sweetheart she said back to me, "Thank you for coming back." She really is the sweetest thing ever.
What a night, indeed. And now there is one more to experience.
