Thanks for posting these. I listened to "Only Regret" first. I agree it's "sorta Casey Abrams" (outside of the chorus). I was wondering how this song would translate to a harder sound.
I then listened to "the untitled song" (Fool for You). That one I watched on the YouTube site and noticed the top comment was: "I miss hard rock James

" I then watched the new version of "Louder than a Loaded Gun" and snippets from the earlier performance.
I've said before I like acoustic James because his voice is more appealing to me when he's not rocking out. I've also said I think his new material is better than the old.
In watching these videos, I also appreciated that the acoustic approach showcased James as a talented songwriter.
In short, I prefer singer-songwriter James to give-metal-a-chance James.
His current fans may not agree, but I think there is space for him in that realm and that career approach would provide more longevity.
