Halien Shindig 8/30 thru 9/2 Signup Sheet

You may not like the Saturday starting time for 9 holes. The choices are either 7:20 AM or 10:56 AM if we play at Wheeling's Chevy Chase. What's your thoughts on that Buzzeroo? & coolnebguy? I'll know on friday if they can slip us in at a better time.

I am good with whatever you guys want to do.

Buzz & coolguy...if we finish 9 holes by 9:30 we can then zip over to the disc golf tournament as part of the BG Days Fest before going to Chinns for lunch. I know Buzz is into that:

The highlights of the 2013 edition include:

• Disc-golf tournament beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Willow Stream and Twin Creeks parks.

• Haley Reinhart, Wheeling's former American Idol contestant, appears on the main stage from 9-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31.

• The Buffalo Grove Parade begins at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at the corner of Bernard Drive and Indian Hill, going east on Bernard to Raupp Boulevard, then turning north to St. Mary’s Parkway. The parade includes a non-perishable food drive for local pantries.

• Highly regarded Beatles tribute group American English takes the main stage at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1.

• The fireworks begin when the band ends at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1.

It would most likely be just to observe rather than compete since it's 18 holes at two parks until 2:30 PM and costs $20 per two person team:

You may still wanna bring any frisbees you have Buzz since i have a large detention basin adjacent to my house and we can divebomb the volleyball players with the discs. j/k I have some very cheap frisbees that don't fly that well.

Also for anyone that is driving to Wheeling it might be wise to bring collapsable chairs for the outdoor concerts.

I actually edited all the Listen Up tracks with a "Vocal Cut" (which is a shame to do to Haley's songs), but in order to "karaoke it", it makes sense. They sound somewhat garbled though and some songs sound better than others. But, I'll have all the Listen Up Tracks "Karaoke style" :-) and will print out lyrics for us (if you don't know them by heart). I have instrumentals of Undone and Free...so they sound clean.

AWESOME BONJOJET!!! Do you have wired mics with that or can my wireless ones plug into it? I do have this "FREE" Karaoke that I can display on my jumbotron:

I have 1 wired Mic and a mixer (picture attached) with reverb/echo effects to help mask any of our potential "vocal inaccuracies". :-)~ If you can plug the wireless mics into the mixer, that would be cool.

You'll impress Harry Reinhart with that because his day job is testing studio sound equipment. Yes the output from my wireless mics have both RCA jacks and 1/4" & 1/8" phono plugs. My neighbors are gonna love us!
We could do the Karaoke as a "GONG SHOW" type thing where whoever lasts the longest without getting "Gonged" wins and you can gong yourself if you're too embarrassed to continue.
If you have Listen Up songs without the vocals, that would also work great for "Name That Tune" (based on the instrumentals alone).
I'm hoping that Haley autographs on plaques will be prizes for winners of Karaoke, Name That Tune and the Hula Hoop contest.

Well now I can OFFICIALLY say I am able to attend the party!! I just got my work schedule for next week and it says "Request Off" in the Sunday box I always knew it wouldn't be a problem but deep down I kept thinking "...What if I have to work....?" and now I don't have to worry at all!!

You guys, i'm getting nervous for all these party games. I've been practicing the hula hoop, and it wont stay up for more than 10 seconds. I cant sing for karaoke, and Im forgetting all the lyrics to the songs....
I feel like a kid in grade school.

Well, I hope Buzz, and yanni and Cool and Bonjojet can sing, especially Bonjojet since he's bringing the darn karaoke machine...

I'm gonna drink heavily in the background..
