Creative Artist Agency (CAA) lists Haley on their "touring" roster. Presumably they have a say in where Haley may appear.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that William Morris Endeavor is behind the series of CAAN’T posters that have appeared around Hollywood on Tuesday. The red posters are a clear parody of rival agency CAA’s white-on-red logo, as well as a reference to a May 13 New York Post blind item about an Oscar-nominated director venting about his agency: “They should be called Caan’t! Caan’t, Caan’t, Caan’ttttttt!”

The posters have been spotted along sidewalks from Hollywood to Santa Monica, as well as in 78 display cases at the Westfield Century City mall, which is near several talent agencies, including CAA.

WME also silkscreened the logo onto T-shirts, one of which was spotted among the crowd at this morning’s Today show taping in New York. A WME insider confirmed that the Today placement was “not incidental.”

...all agreed that it bolsters WME's image as more freewheeling than its buttoned-down rival.

"I knew it had to be Ari," the producer tells THR. "This exactly falls into his sense of humor. Who else has any fun in this business? The intent is clear — just to piss them off. Which I'm sure it's succeeded in doing."

Hmm...Well then Haley needs an agency who CAN!

In other words she needs Kris Allen's, Lee Dewyze's, Crystal Bowersox's, and most recently David Cook's tour management.(I posted about this already in the CityWalk thread, but should've realized that it would quickly get buried. )

Now I have just one thing I'll nitpick about this group and it's that they haven't found Kris enough PA gigs. (Try two. One in Philly in January and another this past Sunday in Hershey. Sadly I couldn't make it to either one.)Especially western, PA.(My hometown area.)Other than that they've done a wonderful job at getting him out on the road. He did a small tour last fall and then did a bigger one this past January-April. Along with a couple of gigs in the spring/summer. They're still getting him gigs too.

I hope I'll be lucky enough to see Kris live this year...I haven't seen him in concert since 2010. The last time(and first time)I saw Haley live was at the 2011 Idols Live! tour in Reading PA. I really hope she does a fall tour, and plans for one are currently being planned. Putting off a tour till next year wouldn't be a wise decision. IMO I'm sure she's as anxious to finally go on her first solo tour as her fans are to see her concerts though. I just want a proper music news update.

One last thing. Do you guys think it's safe to assume that Haley's no longer putting out an EP and now her current goal is working on her sophomore album? I'm more than happy with that if she is indeed focusing on her second album at the moment. I'd still love to have that EP of course, but a full album would be much better. Crossing my fingers she will make an announcement or two soon...

I don't know. Time has flown pretty quickly for us this year because we followed her trip to Asia and the songwriting camp in Greece. I'm sure the year seems even fuller to Haley.

But, for casual fans, she has disappeared from the map. Listen Up! was released a year after her appearance on Idol and now more than a year has passed since then. To build on what she has accomplished so far, Haley has to release new music. The sooner the better, I would think. Unless there is a label waiting in the wings willing to fully support an album release.

I'm certainly no expert on this but,

it seems like 2 years is a pretty standard span between albums ...
... I didn't take the time to look to see if all the ep songs ended up on albums.. but certainly all the songs were on one album or another .. right?

All three of them had some live recorded albums released etc but in my mind those are just ways of making extra $.. (which is good -- and I do buy them from artists I like -- I just don't consider them new albums from artists I like)


Thanks to the hard work of people here and abroad and things like iheart and tipcup, and modern technology we're getting the artistic satisfaction we'd get from the live albums on a piecework basis.

Money is a whole other bag.. but, that's more about popularity than a chance to make art . (certainly it is needed.. but using stardom to be a weigh watchers spokesman like Jenifer Hudson was able to do evidently pays far better than artists selling many times more albums)

Long and short

OF course WE WANT more! but we shouldn't feel like it is anything on the "bad break" end if there is a few years between releases....even the biggest mega-superstars often don't get better.

They tour between albums. Haley wasn't given that luxury. Her exposure to the general public has been very limited. I have no doubt she'll win new fans, but she needs to be heard to do that.

Fifth Harmony (who seems to be doing much better with fans than with radio) Is doing a lot of mall tours and opened up for Cher Loyd. (However you spell it.) I'm not sure why Haley couldn't have at least done a mall tour.

95% of people who I've introduced Listen Up too, have had positive reactions too it. (With the 5% being of people who don't like anything that comes from Idol.) If Listen Up was exposed to the masses, it would have done well.

Hopefully that gets done for her next album.

Hopefully the subliminal exposure going on in stores all over the place will help to make up for that!
