Makes sense that she would be heading back to the 818 or the L.A area dunno mon just saying. A1A isn't the coast hwy, that would be HWY 1 or PCH . I do hope not Hales The 818 is the not so cool area.

I generally agree although Burbank (where a couple of studios and CityWalk is, is in the 818.

There is a popular area where screen writers have been buying homes (that is probably drastically overpriced by now, with people jumping on the bandwagon) called eaglerock .. but that is 323 even though it is next to Burbank.

Laurel Canyon certainly has some pretty hip spots (wasn't there a movie by the name about the recording industry) and some of that is in the 818 too (although I think the less "hip" side of it)

I do think I heard she lived in Santa Monica which is the 310 but she'd likely go to Burbank now and then including the CityWalk gig and.. well it rhymed ; ) . I'm a 310 boy and most of my family is there... Sister in Venice which is sort of a hip address.

Yeah.. there are all sorts of INSPIRING things about what people are doing in Burbank.. There are a few dozen days a year when you have that incredible vista of the San Bernadino Mountains.... well.. you get it.. it is an urban area with people who tend to give their all to what they do (LA is a very career orientated city in my opinion.. something counter to the California "laid back" image--- laid back as in "informal" or perhaps "quite willing to jump on something new rather than be hemmed in by tradition" but "what you do" comes up far quicker in LA than almost anywhere else I've lived.

So, it wasn't entirely a smog joke... also a big city joke --

I've sort of changed my mind again and I do think it could be 818 which "I can breath" might mean "I can get in the studio and do what I love without some schedule every minute of the day on tour in indonesia etc"

and.. having something that comes off the tongue well and rhymes sometimes trumps and precise meaning... the sound or the symetry or just the idea of an area code that alludes to home even if it isn't your home means something.

(I"ve never mentioned it.. but the picture part is also fantastic! ... she looks wonderful.. she's so confident on stage.. the lights and the smoke make me feel like I"m there.. very very good Tusk and I haven't mentioned it because you clearly have skills there and made tricky adjustments beyond what I can even notice)

I also know that , even if you're being bashful about it.. all of you videographers have developed a lot of skill to achieve in tricky circumstances without any help from the venues and make whatever falls your way as good as it can be.

.... stuff like this has a lot trial and error... I'm certain that the experts go back and forth a good deal themselves... and its so great that you guys are mixing and matching and experimenting and listening critically with your own ears etc... I SO love to hear Haley at her best that I know I'm a bit forward giving unsolicited feedback about what I hear in a performance as recorded. I wouldn't say anything at all if I didn't think the feedback had any small, incremental, chance of helping tilt what people shared towards where they can hear Haley at her best.

Extremely lucky. I didn't actually record anything before "Better" despite my attempts. And only the audio from it and "My Cake" seem superior to other recordings.

I understand. I was impressed that you made a lyric video on top of everything else you have done. I have tweeted it about ten times because I think it makes it easier for people to embrace the song.

Listening to the lyric video helps people appreciate the dexterity of Haley's voice because she delivers the same lyrics in a variety of ways.

I agree, the audio for WIAWSNB is nothing as GOOD as what you got with Cake and Better, everything was aligned, and that her performance of both songs is so strong, well ..... It's like that...

I'm extremely pleased to have captured "Better."

I listened to and watched the video for Katy Perry's "Roar" earlier today. She's an attractive woman but seemed to have too much makeup on in the early scenes. As she learns to survive in the jungle, she becomes more self-assured and more scantily clad.

Her lyrics on the video seem cliche, especially when combined with a voice that seems overproduced.

I came away from the viewing more assured than ever that Haley is deserving of recognition. The question is, "How do you achieve it?"

I'm looking into getting the Zoom recorder for my Canon 7d and .camcorder It's not like one size fits all. you have to get adaptors for both. Amazon does have the best price. Miguel ya got me started.
